Well....I got the itch and I scratched it. Got an iPhone 8 Plus and still have my Note 8 and now I’m having the issue of which one do I wanna use more. Ugh. It’s maddening. I can’t pick a device. I love that Note 8 but I also love the apple ecosystem which I am deeply in with my iMac and iPad and the kids. Sucks. I literally don’t know what the right choice is. Anyone have advice?
Neosporin is the solution.
Yea that sucks. One of the reasons I use cash for everything. It's funny though, it's like an ancient payment method. Cashiers never know what to do with it and it takes them forever to count change! Thanks. I just can’t figure out how it happened. Was it someone behind me? Couldn’t have been the 90 year old cashier right? Ugh. Drives me nuts thinking about how
It will come before we know itNot itching for something new necessarily, but this is about the time each year when I start getting antsy for rumors/info about the next Note!
Thanks. I just can’t figure out how it happened. Was it someone behind me? Couldn’t have been the 90 year old cashier right? Ugh. Drives me nuts thinking about how
I doubt it was from the mobile payment. The card pulsed is a token card and in addition to that a security token is generated once you initiate payment that has an expiration timer. That person would have to do a lot more then just be near to swipe their card from Samsung Pay to use.Back the truck up. You are saying someone hacked Samsung pay? Not saying it can't happen as anything can be hacked, BUT...
They would have to bypass biometric, password, tokenization, be within 2 inches, have a way to use that info, and somehow, SOMEHOW just happen to have the equipment at the same time someone was using mobile payments, which is a rarity. All for $48
Did you notice the charges were in Samsung pay or on your debit card?
If it's true you need to make some real noise at Samsung.
Samsung Pay does not store the account or credit card numbers of cards on the device, instead using tokenization for transactions. Each time a purchase is made, the Samsung Pay handset sends two pieces of data to the payment terminal. The first is a 16-digit token that represents the credit or debit card number, while the second piece is a one-time code or cryptogram generated by the phone's encryption key.
Have you ever used your debit in that store or any other store within that area? There are many places it could be swiped. I really doubt it was from Samsung Pay.I'm a little disgruntled with Samsung Pay. Used it at Win Dixie and next thing I know there were two charges that were not mine. One was a small$3 test charge it seemed and then a $45 one right after from that same store. How on Earth did my mobile pay get hacked?
There card readers that only have to be near your wallet to copy your card info. Happens everyday. Not sure if that's what happened but it's a possibilityIt happened right after I used it within minutes. So you tell me. And I did not use my physical card that day. Or all week for that matter. How did it happen then?
You seem to think the fraud would have to occur soon after the theft of your data, without delay. Why would you assume that?It happened right after I used it within minutes. So you tell me. And I did not use my physical card that day. Or all week for that matter. How did it happen then?
I'm not sure how valid this news comment is but it explains how this can be done. Still I think Samsung Pay is much safer in general.Because the charge appeared the same day
