Anyone Getting the "Itch"

I just read the s9 forum and pre order thread. I'm all pumped up and I want to buy a s9 Plus because it's newer. I want new phone! But then I'd want the Note 9!

But both. That's what I'll do. At first I was going to keep my note 8. I love this thing. No complaints. But I like new stuff. So I pre ordered the s9 plus. And I will get the note 9 as well lol.

I must be the only person in the world who uses the SPen. All these people jumping to iPhones and S whatevers and pixel thingys... It just doesn't make sense to me, like those things aren't even comparable. Why did you even get a note in the first place if you're not using the SPen?

I definitely use my s-pen. However, it's something I "like" to use, but it isn't absolutely necessary to use. But, I do understand what you are saying. If I were to switch to another device, the s-pen would be the first thing I miss.

Oh believe me I know. As does my wife lol. But I enjoy it. I either pay my current device off and sell it. Or just trade it in. Whatever is cheaper.

I'll sum up my last 3 years of purchases.

I bought the s6

I bought the Note 4 that summer when I moved to FL. I was still within 30 days so I decided to get the Note 5. Then I bought the regular s7 2 years ago. I then decided the screen was too small and got the Note 7. We know how the Note 7 turned out so then I got the s7 edge as replacement. I hated the lag and smaller screen so bought the V20 unlocked. I didn't like LCD so I used my s7 edge again. Right away when the S8 Plus was unveiled I pre-ordered that.

Love the s8 Plus but wanted spen badly and 6gb ram so I pre-ordered the Note 8 and the s8 plus sits in my drawer which I will sell eventually.

I will order the Note 9 this summer as well.

Oh and I bought the tab s3 128gb edition back in jan as well!

I ended up returning my note 8 to Bestbuy. Still not sure how I feel about it.
I'm going to do a few days with the iPhone X and see how I get on.
That said, I returned the note and got a full refund of $1024. Then i saw on Samsung's website that I can get the exact same device for $602!! ($750 minus $200 trade in for my old phone plus sales tax) which is great. So I may be back very soon.
Already, few things to note (pun intended).. id forgotten how awful Google Assistant is on iOS. It's like Apple cripples the microphone deliberately on it to not listen as well.

Sometimes new accessories can rebuild excitement regarding device. A new case is a start.

I always have the itch lol. I'm close to pulling the trigger on a Pixel 2, then deciding if I want to keep the Note 8. I originally wanted the Pixel 2 but after playing with the Note at Best Buy I went with it, but now owning one for a week I've started to get over it and how large it is. I feel like I need to baby it and be extra careful while at work so I don't crack an edge. I also don't use the SPen so it's kind of a waste on me.

The S9 has no S-Pen.
A higher digit in the model number does not make up for that.

I even use the handwriting recognition.

But the s9 has newer processor, and the emoji thing where you take your photo and make it into an animation. Don't you want that fun texting stuff?

I ordered a 2wk old Pixel 2 off eBay a few minutes ago. I'll either be keeping it and putting the Note 8 up for sale, or keeping the Note and putting the Pixel up lol. So indecisive, but the size and camera are drawing me towards the Pixel.
