Anyone going to upgrade from the S20 Ultra to the Note Ultra?

No. The rumors specifically stated S20. LTPO isn't required for variable refresh rate, it just offsets power usage. On a device like the S20 that already has a high refresh rate screen, it won't make any difference to power usage.
I believe the only thing they can't add is the high refresh rate to high resolution due to limitations in hardware.

It's possible the display driver can't support it. It's possible it could support a variable 90hz at full resolution though.

What rumours? Only LTPO panels can go all the way down to 1HZ for example

S20 won’t be able to get anything that it doesn’t already have

That is not accurate. The display is already capable of variable refresh rate depending on the app, and the S20 already does it. Some things, like going down to 1hz won't be possible, but certainly switching from 60hz to 120hz and in between is possible with the panel the S20 has.

I follow women's basketball and I see that at&t has given all the players from the WNBA free galaxy s20's and a Year of free service including hbo max.I think most of the women are iPhone users and will probably never use their new phones. They're posting their videos of their very nice gifts on Instagram.

August of 2016, I think I remember the athletes being given Note7s for the Rio Olympic Games. I do remember hoping that Samsung would release the Note7 while the Olympics were ongoing as that would have been a nice bit of marketing. Later that year I tried to obtain an Olympic-themed S7 Edge but those were elusive; just four short years ago.

No, but what does that have to do with it?

Now if it came with the newest in-display selfie cam technology then i would go for the note20 ultra in a heartbeat. So for now I'm gonna stay with the s20 ultra.i don't think I'll get much use out of the spen.

I have the s20 regular and I won't be getting the note 20. Samsung did an amazing job this year with keeping their flagships updated and it's been running so smooth. The 120 hz is amazing and I this is the first year that there Samsung is as smooth or better than the pixel.

I will probably upgrade to the new Note, but likely not at preorder stage. These phones are so pricey. Really impressed with the S20 Ultra and I'm sure I will be with the new Note, but the $$ involved can be put to more important use. Plus, thinking maybe get a deal on one a few months down the road (past preorder, in store stock dates)

Nope I'm keeping my S20+ at least until next year and see what the S21 has to offer. I just got this back in March and still own a ton on it.

Can someone refresh my memory? What accessories/deals does Sammy usually give you when you pre-order?

I'm want to get the Note 20 Ultra but this time I'm not going to pre-order Unless they have a good pre-order deal with the new Galaxy Watch.

I said pretty much the same thing back in 2017 with the Note8. While Samsung wasn't giving out their S3 Frontier or Classic back then i did get a neat Gear 360 Camera which is going strong after nearly three years. When they debut a new item the last thing they want to do is dilute its value by discounting it right away.

Who knows what they'll do. Even if it's a nice credit towards the watch I might jump on the pre-order. We'll see. Every release I tell myself I don't need to pre-order but always end up doing it.
