Anyone have any suggestions how I can get my hands on an Evo?

I did get a called from Arthur today and I got my tracking number and I've been tracking my package and it should be here tomorrow. I will come back and verify that Arthur is not a scam or anything.

I ordered an Evo from Arthur on Tuesday evening. He provided me with a tracking number today, which noted that the phone should arrive on Monday (8/9). He seems totally legit to me. I'll confirm Monday once the Evo arrives.

I'm pretty sure its been mentioned but Craigslist is an excellent option to try. B4 I was called by my local Sprint Store to pick my Evo up, I called several ads on craigslist and most of them still had an Evo for sale. Two of the sellers were actually Sprint Store employees trying to turn a profit. If you don't mind the mark up give it a try.

FYI, after what happened some time back through Craig's List, I don't trust it. Back when the original PS3 was first released, some jerk bought a bunch of them and began to sell them on Craigslist for $2000 each! When he went to meet a buyer who was going to purchase 2 of them, it turned out the buyer brought some buddies and almost beat the jerk to death, and then stole the two PS3's. Of course, many didn't feel much compassion for the jerk as he bought more than his share so to rip people off, as well as just think how many kids did not get a PS3 for Christmas cause there were none left for their parents to buy? But regardless, Craigslist is NOT as protected as eBay along with paypal. So beware that being impatient can have bad side effects.

Radioshack!!!!!! order over the phone for $199 and $10 shipping. shipped in about 1 week. the only draw back was getting a rep on the phone.. call center in new deli but they sound british. enjoy ur new evo. oh btw the orb app runs smooth on 2.2 over 140 gb of music and over 1 tg streaming to my evo.

I called my local Best Buy. They told me to come in and ordered me one from their warehouse. Only 34 left in stock. The phone will come directly to my house next week. Finally!

damn im honestly tempted to give art a call but i guess ill go through my local avenues at least until monday and see what pops up.. i had a few in stock at my own site and seem to have sold out of those.. and now that i can afford it.. i dont have one .. but whichever guy was talking about ARTHUR..

I live in Cali.. and im unsure about any spending limits or whatever.. is that gonna be a problemo? and has anyone recieved any phones from this guy?

hey i order my phone from Arthur on monday and i just receive my phone in the mail today. So i can say that Arthur is legit and thanks to him I got my phone and he did more that just sitting here and calling around. If you are still looking for a phone give him a call.

If he's a regular business accounts rep, why aren't there more guys like him out there? There's one guy, assumingly so consumer friendly, that can offer everything we want, and that doesn't seem too good to be true to anyone else?

Good luck to those trying this avenue. If most or everyone comes back from calling this guy and indicate everything went as expected, Art has himself a customer for future sales from me....until then, pardon my skepticism.

Arthur rocks got my phone today!!

I just got my phone via UPS and I gotta tell ya, I'm extremely impressed with Arthur's professionalism and his speedy delivery! I live in Hawaii and I got my phone in four days. I tell you give him a call if you don't wanna wait around for a phone.

How did you handle activation?

I've never activated a phone outside of a Sprint Store

How long was the setup?

Is it easy to sync?

Sorry for asking so many questions

Just trying to get a feel for what i might be in store for in case i give that a guy a call

Activation is done online through Sprint..I havent synced anything yet Im charging the phone Im coming from a Palm PRe so I gotta figure out how to move all the contacts from phone to the other phone.
