anyone leaving G6 for V30, or Note 8?

Prob why I'm leaning toward the Note 8 instead of the V30

The picture of the V30 next to S8+ is shocking to say the least. And guess we all forgot the horrible G flex?

Again it's a preproduction model so hopefully it'll be fixed...
Yes that really doesn't look very good at all, maybe it was just a defective unit? Part of me thinks we will be seeing a lot more of that though.... I think I must be one of the only people to prefer LCD over OLED.

Not really. The OLED screen is tempting but another 6 months there something better.

Man! They really need to something with battery life.

I've owned my G6 for about a month now, and I absolutely love it. It has a great camera, runs smooth and quick, and I get phenomenal battery life (after disabling all the bloatware). I do have a little spec envy with the new V30, but it's not worth me upgrading so soon to a more expensive phone (got my S6 from ATT for $585).

So glad you are liking your G6! How are you enjoying the AOD?

The V20 never made it to Sweden. No word about the V30 yet. Until then we can choose between G6 or... G6.

I have AOD turned on and it works good for me. I have it on the dim setting, which isn't the brightest but I can still see the text when my phone is sitting on my desk in the office. I don't notice any extra battery drain with AOD, and I have it set to turn off from 10 pm to 5 am. Again, this phone has been working great for me and I'm glad I upgraded from my Samsung S7.

Awesome! Thank you for answering my questions!

I doubt I'd ditch my G6 for anything anytime soon. I've been very happy with it. Definitely would never be for the Note 8. The price of the Note 8 is literally more than double what I paid for the G6. Not to mention I'd lose the wide angle camera which I love.

V30 looks awesome, but not different enough to the G6 to make it worth spending the coin. Not to mention I like the physical size of the G6 better.

Samsung has basically forever priced themselves out of my consideration with their latest phones. It's not that I can't afford them (I buy new phones every 6 months or so usually), it's just that there's sooooo much better value out there from other manufacturers like LG, Oneplus, Huawei, HTC etc. The Note 8 will cost $1300 CAD in Canada before tax. That is insane. I could buy an LG G6 and a OnePlus 5 for that price and still have money left over.

Samsung has become the Apple of the Android world but without Apple's admittedly excellent post purchase customer support.

I definitely agree with you about Samsung. Much better bang for your (lesser) buck elsewhere!
