My thoughts exactly. Everyone throwing out random rumored dates makes them sound like Maxwell Smart. Would you believe Nov 3, Nov 10, Nov 17, Black Friday, Dec 8, Dec 11, Dec 12?.................

Who are you people kidding. There is going to be very little marketing put behind this (except maybe Samsung). The Razr is all over TV and Verizon web sites. The Rezound is the Flagship Verizon phone for HTC - both TV and Web Ads. I think this is only highly anticipated by all the geeks on this forum that only account for .01% (maybe less) of Verizon's 100 Million plus customers. Everyone on this board that can get this will be whining about when are they going to get Jelly Bean (or the newest hottest thing). Most regular people will get a phone as soon as their contract is up (look how many people were still getting iPhone 4s even when "everyone" knew a new iPhone (whether it was 4s or 5) was imminent. So, only the geeks will even care about this phone. And quite frankly, as Mickey Papillon said on podcast 81 this phone is too big (just the Rezound or Razr) to be a normal, pocketable, one-handed phone. I believe 4.0" is the largest phone I will ever get (although this could change). And I have carried some big PDAs in the past (US Robotics Palm Pilot, Palm Tungsten) and just waiting for high res and dual core to trickle down to smaller phones as all you tech geeks move on to quad core, 4.6+, HD display phones.

Too big according to you and a few others. That's why they make different style phones, find the style you like and stick with it.

I am thinking the 22 will be the day. If I am wrong then big red is gonna push it to next year due to the google wallet/ isis / blocking stuff they cannot do anymore. I am starting to thing that big red's angle was they were not gonna block google wallet they just do not want to have that feature to legally get around all that and google will not budge. But now google sees if they will not take gw off the phone will die and verizon will ship back phones depending on the return agreement make with google for phones that do not sell.
There has been no announcement today so I think the 15 is off the table. I just want to know when if it is jan-feb then I will forget it and get a razr or even wait for quad core ics phones in march april even though this is what i want.

Except that would have been discussed in negotiations, not just all of the sudden say well now I think we will stick GW on the phone. Only 1 version of the nexus has it so I cannot see them holding back for that, since it could be easily fixed via an ota update, not like they need to change the hardware for it to work.
Don't give up hope. Thunderbolt announced the morning of 3/15. Launched 3/17. I would say if we don't hear somthing by EOD tomorrow, then, yes, the chances decrease on the 12/15 date... but it's also possible they announce it the day before, etc.
I'm surprised I haven't seen one of these phones that slipped through end up on eBay or craigslist in the LA/San Diego area.

I have one but the phone is too good to to sell. Plus, there isn't really any room to make money on it. For me anyway, I spent $360 after taxes to buy it on contract. It could probably only be sold for like $700 maybe a little more and after making back what I spent on the phone, the rest would go to pay the cancellation fee.. I'd end up flat..
Na, you see you sell it at a markup as one of only two to make it out early. Include a reciept and certificate of authenticity. One is on ebay for 1200. You have to sell it to a geek colector.
You mean a stupid collector.
Only fools would pay a 100% premium markup to "collect" a phone for a full 3 days before everybody else can have it. This isn't some limited edition item, and once the other phones are released, it will have no increased value at all.

It is still unsellable in their POS system. He posted on another board he got the manager to just take his money .. dont expect to be able to walk into a RS a buy one normally
