Anyone putting stock in Dec 15th?

I don't know how you are tied to Verizon but from my perspective there has been at least 4 of those release emails over the randum rumored dates that to me we just as compelling as the 9th's paper/email/whatever.

The 15th might be the day because its the only rumored date without any "evidence" lol....

I've followed this launch since October, and I don't particularly remember seeing any actual emails concerning a definitive launch date other than December 9th. There was a flyer for Black Friday, but no other evidence to show that Verizon ever fully committed to a launch date in November like they did with December 9th.

I'm not talking about Droid-Life or another blog say "we got an email from a super credible source saying they got an email from a manager that got an email from higher up corporate." I was talking about actual photo evidence concerning said emails, which we got numerous times for December 9th. The 9th had WAY, way more evidence going for it than any other release date before, or so far, after it.

I think verizon cracked down on sending emails and will wait until the last minute after the equipment guide leaked and the tech sites went crazy. I think verizon wants this more low key and that took it way out of proportion and stole some of their thunder.

I agree, I don't think they'll be mass sending emails concerning December 15th, they'll simply release emails saying to sell stock now.

As for the meeting tonight, I don't think it'll be much of a discussion. More like an internal press release saying what corporate has decided on. Honestly, I think the Nexi that got sold prematurely will definitely influence Verizon into releasing the Nexus this week.

Either way, we should know A LOT more tomorrow, possibly even an official press release (if we ever even get one).

EDIT: Also, I remember reading somewhere that supposedly the Equipment Guide will be updated tomorrow to reflect the new targeted release date. Tomorrow is definitely going to be insightful, hopefully not for the worse.

Just talked to a couple of friends at different bbs saying they have it in stock but aren't allowed to sell it yet........and they have no idea when they are even selling it. I wouldn't hold my breath for the 15th.......

But hearing that it's somewhere in the store just makes me want to sneak in and take one. Hahahahah!

Maybe stock was truly the issue for the delay. I know some stores lied but what if others truly did not get any in? I know multiple stores who did not get stock yet stores right around did.

I know that the current release date is 12/15. Do i put any stock in it? not until official announcement.

Rep from local VZW corporate location called me today telling me i could buy it on the 15th.
i called a radio shack, they confirmed. asked me if i wanted them to hold it (their ONLY one. for me) I already unboxed theirs btw, they almost sold it to me on the 9th (wouldn't ring up)
called another vzw corporate, they told me the computer says 12/15 but please call beforehand to make sure it's a go.

Stopped by my local verizon store late this evening (east coast) and the Galaxy Nexus was out on display. Played with it for about 20 min. Pretty nice overall. I didn't ask if they had any for sale, is it out on display at all VzW stores but just not available for purchase?

At my local corporate VZW I had to ask to see it. It was up in a cabinet behind the counter.

I had to hold the security device b/c it was pulling the battery cover off the back of the unit!

I will say that it isn't buttery smooth like I've read. It's smoother than most android devices but I think the ATT Galaxy SII is the smoothest device.

Love the screen, definitely a nice slim device, ics is definitely way better organized than previous O/S versions.
