Just wondering if anyone here has returned their Inc -- for any reason -- in order to get a replacement. Anyone?

If yes,
1. for what problem were you replacing the phone?
2. did the new replacement solve the problem for you?

VZW told me that a new batch of phones may have fewer bugs, and I have 30-days to return my phone. I have issues with home screens that change by themselves and a terribly buggy optical joystick. So, just wondering if anyone has a better Incredible from a magical, new batch. :)

Thank you.

Interesting they said this, was this a store rep or a phone rep?

Whats more annoying than anything else, is if thats the case, there should be a way to identify a bad batch of phones and offer those customers replacements without them even asking...but im sure thats too much to ask lol.

You know it is. However, if they knowingly sold a bad batch of phones, they have a responsibility to their customers to replace them for known defects in materials or craftsmanship.

I should clear something up -- the rep (phone rep, btw) didn't specifically say that there was a bad batch. At least, I didn't hear it that way -- kind of wondering now.

Anyway, he meant that - IF THERE HAD BEEN A BAD BATCH - a new batch might resolve some issues. I'm really wondering now if he did know something more than he let on to.

Crap.

Its always known that the first batch of anything is going to have issues regardless if the company said they are a great product. The iPhone had problems when it first came out, the Storm had problems as well.

the storm had some problems as well...

NO, the Storm had some small good functions sometimes as well..LOL

I've been considering returning mine because the call quality sounds very "tinny." I'll probably try to go in to the store sometime later this week and see if they'll replace my phone.

I haven't returned mine yet, but I'm having problems with the signal, only get 1-2 bars everywhere, and my native weather won't update automatically every hour like I have it set to do. I select update automatically and I see the green check in the box, but when I back out and go back in, it has unchecked itself every time. This has happened since the recent update to OS.

Go to Settings> Accounts and Sync and check Auto-Sync. That will make your weather stay on.

I'm having trouble with the scenes changing everyone I reboot the phone also problems with groups but I don't know if I should try to get a new one for these minor issues

I had to replace min after 3 days sine it was rebooting everytime I would change the live wallpaper or if I was on the internet and the page was too heavy it would reboot.haven't had any problems after it was exchanged

haven't had any problems at all?!?

or, just haven't had those same problems (rebooting) again?

if you've had absolutely no problems at all, i'd have to start wondering about good batch vs. bad (old) batch.

I had gotten my MOTO Droid on release, and it was perfect! No problems whatsoever! Its the Only Smartphone I hadn't had to replace atleast once!

Really? I must have decent luck then because I've never had to replace a smartphone. I'm not going to say they were all great or anything, but nothing failed enough I had to replace it. I've had a MotoQ, Curve, Storm, and now the Incredible...the Storm was actually bought from someone off craigslist, but I don't think it was a refurb or returned phone or anything.
