Anyone Switch to iPhone Max??

Well yeah if you quote and ask them of course.

Again the topic warrants it so your issue with it is kind of ridiculous. The whole topic is about the Note to iPhone and he literally did it so.. was talking about it.

The more shocking part is you keep replying even though it seems to bother you. I read many threads I don't reply to.. so why do you keep replying to something you obviously don't like?

I've asked NO question. You keep replying, quoting and bullying me.

Not really. I simply replied to you trying to bully someone else from posting just because they may have swapped from Android. We don't do that here.. anyone can post. Especially in this case since the way the person is posting pertains exactly to the topic at hand.

Mod note: Perhaps this thread needs a break?

Possibly. Mainly just stating that people can post... Regardless of device. I will always enforce that since we aren't a Android only cult or something weird. Many people use both.

I'm not switching . I used both Apple and Android phones.
Actually not upgrading to any phone this year , which is a first

I am not switching, I love my Note 9. Best phone ever, IMHO.
I am envious of the Apple Watch
Anyway, I wondered who is switching to the Max??

I switched. I was done with the issues with the camera and battery life. The max out lasts my note 9 by several hours I am happy with it. I wonder how long it will be before Samsung fixes the camera? Lol

I don't have any interest in that type of watch as I wear a Breitling, so in business it would be a step back perception wise, and I never understood why companies get iPhone's for their employees as they suck canal water for business.

Because they are more secure. Lol. My bank uses them for all their employees because when you can’t hack them as easy then they are less vulnerable. Ever been too DEF CON conference? Yea, they tell people to not bring android devices as many people while you are there like to hack them over the cellular or WiFi networks.

Unless aleady heavily vested in the Apple eco system, why would someone go to a more constrained device, with a notch, no sd slot, no 3.5 jack, costs even more, anchored to iTunes for file and media management, inferior display, no pen.... No point in going on really, but having choices is good, none the less.

How is the display inferior when displaymate rated it the best display on any smartphone???

And who uses a jack now. It’s Bluetooth times. OneNote just axed theirs too.

Stop drinking the note drink. Lol. Honestly I see a lot on the max the note could not do.

Samsung had this features a while ago. The only thing the Apple watch have is a EKG monitor. And that's a good feature. But I can test my heart rate from my phone or my watch at anytime.

Actually Apple had it first and Samsung’s irritation never worked right. Sometimes never noticed I got up. That was on the s3 and galaxy watch.

Android doesn't have good watches ???
Did you try the Galaxy watch?
Beats the apple watch to a pulp
Hands down

Umm not even close. Apple Watch beats it. I owned both and there are a ton more apps on the Apple Watch and features. Sorry, I’m not a fanboy of either but the Apple Watch definitely beats it. That’s why it’s the number one smart watch.

First, Apple didn't invent the smartwatch. Doesn't matter who in apple decided to add it to their lineup of tech. It's not original with Apple. Not innovative.

Second it outsells because apple people don't have choices like Android.

ETA did you know you can find replicas of the 1946 Duck Tracy watch? I always tell older people, that getting a smart watch will make them feel like **** Tracy LOL.

Technically they did invent it. They had the design out several years before anyone did.

Even with the faster FaceID, it's still slower and much more cumbersome than unlocking with a fingerprint sensor.

But I agree with you about the Apple Watch.

No it’s not. Unless it’s sitting on the table. I enjoy faceid where I can grab the phone and unlock it without thinking about unlocking it. It just goes. Even access to apps it just goes in. Don’t know something unless you have used both extensively.

FaceID on the iPhone XS Max still has the same problems as it did on the iPhone X: it still doesn't recognize your face if you're trying to unlock the phone while lying in bed or if you're holding your phone at a weird angle.

The FPS on the Note 9 has always unlocked every time I used it, even when my fingers were damp.

Works fine for me. I learned that in bed you need to have to further away from your face to work properly. You don’t notice it but when you are in bed the phone is closer to your face. Pull it away. Works every time.

The note 9 faceid isn’t even close to being secure like apples. Many have spoofed it.

Back on the Max for me.
Now, if I could only sell this 9 before the price hits rock bottom. Maybe already too late. :'(

Can't believe how Samsung prices plummet so fast.

When they don’t sell well when released and Samsung starts to drop the prices or gets deals going it kills the resale value. Thankfully I was able to return mine to Best Buy at 29 days due to their website showing I could return it and their management let it slide because of that. But it took some arguing. No loss here. :)

Also, the Galaxy Watch is an utter abortion. Anyone have one too?

Had one. From not many apps supporting it, to not picking me up when I walked, to not counting my steps correctly. It’s just a new design from Samsung and they never fixed the issues the s3 had. My last from them.

You have to be joking about hen you said no other watch compares to the Apple Watch 3/4... because trust me I own the Apple Watch 3 LTE AND THE GLALAXY WATCH Lte and the glalaxy watch out performs the Apple Watch lte hands down no debate. You might need to go back and research what a real lte watch actually supposed to do.

Umm no. It doesn’t. Too many issues with that watch. Read my previous post. You obviously haven’t used both.

I’m getting easily 30-60 min more battery life (SOT) on my iPhone XS Max than my Note 9

Yea I use to come home from work with 30% left on my note 9 and the max has 70% with the same usage. The battery on the max kills the note by a large margin.

Exactly and you are also right about Face ID and the Galaxy Watch.

The battery on my Max is markedly better than my Note 9 and does not ever encounter some rouge app draining quickly all of a sudden.

Also, Face ID works at several different angles whereas the Intelligence Scan on my Note has to see my iris’ and lights up the freaking screen to MAX brightness to see them. That’s super annoying at night.

Finally, the Galaxy Watch is prob Samsung’s biggest disgrace EVER. If you Google: Galaxy Watch Step Counter, you’ll see the many threads on Samsung’s one forums where so many people are complaining about how poorly the fitness features (ie step counting; HR and calorie calculation) were made. The worst part is Samsung is not even responding whatsoever.
