Anyone switching back to iPhone?

Facetime was my big incentive to switch to iOS. The rest of the family has iOS and missed being able to see my little Captain America throughout the day. Now I can see him anytime and its great!

I've still got my ipad mini for facetime and imessage but I know where you are coming from. My mom has an iPhone and refuses to use anything like WhatsApp. So I use imessage and facetime to communicate with her.

Just curious what's wrong with the music app from Google? I understand some like other apps just curious if it was a specific reason.

I just prefer to use player pro. It appeals to me visually and I like the options for managing my music on the device. Plus I don't want to be tied to one app.

I feel like this is overlooked a lot. People want to criticize and say that we are sheep and everything else, but, when my wife, friends, co-workers, family members, and even my nanny have iPhones, it makes a lot of sense to fall in line. And it's not like I'm going to complain about having to have an iPhone and operate in the iOS ecosystem. It is really great, but there are other factors that make owning an iPhone or iPad a prudent decision.

I can totally understand why for some people the iPhone/ipad set up works. There are good things about ios hence why I've still got my ipad mini and apple TV. I just missed using an android device as my daily driver which is why I sold my 5S and got the note 3. I think for me the ideal Set up is to have both android and ios devices.

I know some people that do use both. The only problem that I had run into when trying to accomplish this is that I would have to buy two sets of apps or when looking at multimedia, having to deal with different accounts.

The thing that really surprises is that the iPhone's 4" display is not the miserable puny unusably small screen that I read from so many here. It's just fine and it's bright and so clear and colorfully accurate even despite its 326 ppi. I'm not sure if it's just the novelty of using something different or what but I'm very pleased with my iGadgets.

I think that people make it out to be worse than it really is. It wasn't that long ago when a 4 inch screen was considered big and no one had an issue with them then. Now some consider them to be intolerable. The iPhone screen is perfectly fine and the text on the screen is generally the same size as the smartphones with considerably larger screens.

True. But for me personally it isn't the text.. I just like watching video on a bigger screen.

I actually went back to iPhone. Got the 5s. No regrets. The Note 3 is a great phone but I love the 5s.

I agree. The text is sharp enough but watching videos on such a small screen isn't that enjoyable. Also whilst the 5S's screen is bright with realistic colours I just prefer the amoled screens on the galaxy phones. Plus I missed the higher resolution.

So you've still got your 5S? Not swaped it for anything? :-)

It's funny because I'm where you started (note 3) and you're where I started (5S).

I'd watch videos on my iPads. It is more enjoyable on bigger screens.

Yes the bigger the screen the better, so leaving aside TV's and laptops my best screen for watching videos is my galaxy tab 2 10.1.

At this point, I'd actually move to iOS if it wasn't for ViPER4Android FX

I won't be switching back to iPhone simply because I have my note 3 which is amazing and I have a i pad which I use with my mobile hot spot and the up ad has such good battery it's hard to leave it so I like using the best of both worlds

I have noticed that about my iPad Mini Retina and iPad Air. They both have ridiculously good battery life. Too bad my iPhone 5s' don't have that kind of stamina, but that do just fine too...and when one dies I just power up the other.

I'm living in both worlds. Nexus 7 and an iPhone. I feel I have the best tablet and the best phone. ☺

You will have seen headlines like this yesterday. Sorry about the cheapo quality.

Apple again with massive margins/twice the profit, 60%ish market share and lower unit sales with equal sales revenue. Are you really getting the quality and value for a lot of money compared to Samsung?

I know Google/Nexus and Moto give you much more bang for your bucks again, but this is between the big two.

Old story but ir may help here.
I will leave this discussion before my math is found seriously wanting.

For me, absolutely, because I feel that margins and value are two very different things, and not necessarily correlated with each other.

Granted, this might sound biased coming from an all-Apple-device user, but I do love the way my Apple products look and work. You are right in that android devices might give you more options and flexibility, but for me, I go with Apple products not only for what they let me do, but also for what they don't require me to do.

For example, the ios App Store has done a pretty good job of clamping down on piracy, viruses, malware and rogue apps. Apple does the onerous task of vetting and approving apps so I don't need to. The only thing I must concern myself with is checking if the app is relevant to my needs.

Then, there are the services like iMessage and shared photo-stream. Basically, I feel I am getting not simply an Apple device, but moreso an integrated solution which just works right out of the box, without me needing to tinker with this setting or fiddle with that.

So yeah, in a nutshell, for me, my Apple products look great and work great and I don't regret paying the pieces for them that I did. :)
