Anyone switching back to iPhone?

Good luck. A lot of people can completely empathize with you, like me, while some just don't/won't/can't understand at all. However, there's more than just the camera and rumor has it that the S5 will have a great camera. I also hope you'll also be using a dedicated camera/DSLR for such important photos too.

Thanks. I appreciate that. Yes a nice camera will be employed, but mostly I don't have one with me at times. My 4s served me well. I love both platforms. But I am not in love with android right now. Maybe that is Samsung's fault. Lol. I am looking forward to a new experience and a much more stealth and portable phone. When I get bored, I can always come back! But that won't be awhile. The note 3 takes damn good pictures when the settings are right and the time is there to *get the shot.* I am sure the camera on the 5s will be better. I know Samsung can do it. Hell, the Samsung fascinate had a great shooter for its time. I will NOT get rid of my nexus though :)

Not sure if verizons 30 day jump program is broke, but they could not edge me up and after two hours, they just did a manager approval for my 64 gig 5s and because the edge program would not work in their system on the early up mode, I got to keep my note 3. I would have to say my father in law had a hand in that! Lol.

iPhones are for regular people as where Android (Note 3 in this case) are for the geeks among us who like to fiddle around with their phones...

I don't understand this 'IPHONE is for regular folks' thing. The Note 3 is not complicated to use. Maybe we should say : 'IPHONE is for SIMPLE Folks'
😊

I think most of this thread is satire....I was impressed with how well this little iPhone jumped on my wifi at work. My note would at least require a few tries ha ha. Simple is nice, he he.

Maybe we should say 'iPhone is for folks that like iPhone.' I know that's not as much of an insult but it's prolly more accurate. :)

My note 3 would periodically tell me my connection was slow and disconnect me. At work when a certificate expired it would take a few minutes to toggle things and web pages, sometimes a reset to make it work....but then the "wifi has been disconnected" would soon hit. Three note 3s and the same wifi issues. Kissing them issues goodbye!

Ah that sucks.. Mine did that at first.. It's a bug in 4.3. Disable the setting below.. No more notification and no more it trying to handle my data connection. I do.

I kissed the issue goodbye right then ;).

Oh I did all that, trust me, I don't go easy ;)
You don't have to convince me that I am missing anything. Spent several months trying ha ha. Still have my note 3 and I am thinking of hacking the hell out of it to see what I can do with it, or I will sell it. 450, cheap!

Thanks for the tip. I'm having this issue as well. Going to give it a try.

Maybe 4.4 will address that. Kind of annoying to manually switch when entering and exiting home wifi. That trick bought me about 2 days before the wifi to slow message hit again for me anyhow.

I thought that there was a setting for wifi that would only allow strong connections. If this is marked, then it will disconnect if it is less than excellent strength.

Mine too. I have it set to automatically connect to my home wifi so when I get a few feet away from my front door it automatically switches to wifi. I've never had a problem with this or any of my previous galaxy phones.

I actually have an iPhone 5S, as my second phone - due to its tiny size, its a perfect match for my Note 3 :)

As for going back to one - to each his own. Give me a 6" iPhone, and we might be talking :)

I'm not switching to iPhone for nothing. I love this Note 3. That said, While I don't have a problem connecting to WiFi, I have noticed an odd little problem. I leave my WiFi on all the time even though I don't need it here at work (no wifi) but I have gone into the settings a number of times and the WiFi will be greyed out yet as soon as I pull down the quick access bar, it lights back up. Is that normal behavior?
