Anyone switching back to iPhone?

Maybe 4.4 will address that. Kind of annoying to manually switch when entering and exiting home wifi. That trick bought me about 2 days before the wifi to slow message hit again for me anyhow.

Odd I've never had wifi issues on my note 3. Is it a carrier issue?

Verizon is my carrier. I have the 5s and the note 3 so maybe I will run them side by side on the same wifi, but just to help others as I am already convinced that the note does not do wifi as well, but at the cost of time, I could always *make it work* via reboot* I could post a video of the troubles I guess. Not missing it at all. But I know people feel that way about the idevice, and that is okay. It is all about what *works* and for me, it is my old iOS.

Not the note 3. I have had it on WiFi at work and home with no issues. Its your router. If you havent try the older bands and not 5g if your router is a dual band.

If its the router I wonder why the Note 3 would be more sensitive to he router than so many other devices. My iPhone 5s', Nexus 5, G2, Note 2, Optimus G Pro, S4, S3, iPhone 5, iPhone 4, Droid Razr, and Droid Razr Maxx never exhibited the wifi issues that my 3 Note 3's did. :-(

Mine constantly has issues with having a "stong" connection to my wifi and other wifi networks. Then when I disable that suggested setting wifi doesn't seem to work well at all. My phone is rooted but running stock.

My droid OG, droid droid Eris, droid x, Samsung, fascinate, galaxy s series up to 3, iPhone 4S, note 2, nexus 5, verizon nexus....are just a few that come to mind that did fine with wifi. I am sure an update will fix it, but there are several reasons I have decided the note 3 isn't for me. I am not interested in trouble shooting it as I have done enough.

Great phone the note 3 is, powerful and big, plasticky never bothered me much, but definite not going be my daily driver. Hope all have a good day.

Okay I really want to seem like I am cool and hate on the Note 3 by reverting back to the iPhone. After buying the screen projector thingamajiggy that u posted earlier to make the screen larger I thought I could really make a go of it. However, I ran into a real problem. The battery life on my iPhone 5 really sucks!

Sure if I don't use the phone it will get me through the whole day without issue. But once I turn on the screen I can't seem to make it through the work day. Even worse, the battery isn't replaceable and I am not able to sit around by an outlet all day long. I was really getting depressed because I paid Apple like three times the amount it cost them to make this device and I can't seem to make a go of it.

Lucky me I again found the answer. The case shown below now allows my iPhone to last as long as the Note 3. Better yet it turns this phone into a beast.

My WiFi at homes works perfectly which is the main thing. Other places are kind of iffy mostly because the N3 seems to think the signal is "unstable" or other such nonsense. Whatever. So long as it works solidly at home (which it does) then I won't give it much thought. I love this phone and i'll be more than happy to wait on whatever fix they better be working on.

All the minor criticisms of the Note 3 are minor at best. So it's not absolutely perfect, it's still worthy of the name flagship. I don't think Sammy is going to address the "Your WiFi is lonely and depressed...." issue at this point because, if they were going to they would have by now...the phones has been out since September and the issue really isn't that bad. The iPhone's battery is, what, half the capacity of the Note 3? My 5s' seem to last decently, but I cheated, I just bought 2. For those that want it there are those Mophie cases and I may get one one day just to have one.

The standby battery of the iPhone 5S is outstanding. If you are a person like me that only uses their phone for short periods of time throughout the day, the iPhone is great. After a long work day I have about 75 percent battery left. I'm not streaming videos or playing games though.

I switched from an iPhone 4s to a note 3. There are things that I think apple does better, but there are things that I like better on my note 3. So far the things I like better about my note 3 far out way what I miss on my iPhone 4s. I used an iPhone at work on Friday and it was so puny! Apple will have to come out with an amazing phone to get me to switch back. I have an ipad that I love so I still use all my apps and I've overcome most of my issues with the note 3. I'm still working on the video problem - transferring videos I've taken with the note to my pc for editing.

Slapped a mophie air case on and I don't even know what a charger is anymore. Though I thought it would be bulky, compared to a note, it is sleek as hell

Disagree, 4.4 could handle wifi better.

Aaaah. You have a point. Well, isn't 4.4 descending upon various Note 3's now?

Isn't it hitting the Europe versions?

maybe it is time to switch to basic..........FLIP PHONE

Uhm, in this world we live in currently, yeah not happening.

A much better solution is that people should start choosing phones based on their needs, not because it's "popular".

For me that would mean choosing a phone with a good app ecosystem. That is my primary criteria. There are multiple apps I've allowed myself to form a dependency on. Tsk tsk. Windows Phone and Blackberry, are, therefore, not an option (and Blackberry smells funny too). After that do I choose the smoothest, simplest, most lag-free experience with the highest quality apps and camera qualities I prefer OR do I choose big screens, feeling adventurous, more robust customization, and the option of removable media and batteries? Depending on what season it is when I'm answering these questions drives whether or not I'll choose iOS or Android.
