Anyone thinking about returning this phone and going to the S8?

If you're on the fence after using the phone for a few days, I recommend taking it back and at least considering the S8 or another device.

Called T-Mobile for my return label today. I have an S8 and S8+ on order and will see which one I like. G6 is a nice step forward for LG but I like the S8 better.

Nope and the only reason why is the curved screens. I am returning my original one due to an absurd amount of phantom scratches on the camera lens when my new one comes in Tuesday. If that one does the same thing then Ive got some decisions to make. Either ignore them and hope they dont cause issues taking pictures or find something else to use for a few months.

I can't believe that they are using Gorilla glass 3.

"I hate curved displays"...."I'm waiting for the Note 8"...

Um, what?
The features of the Note outweighs the cons of a curved screen. I wont take a curved screen on a S8 because it doesn't have enough advantages over the G6 but a Note is a different beast all together.

Not for me. This year Samsung didn't do it for me.. normally I'm freaking out and wanting to preorder but this year it just didn't hit that for me. I'll stick with the G6.

I have no reservations about keeping this phone. It's just about perfect for what I use a phone for. Has everything I liked about the V20 without the size.

I usually allow myself to get wowed by the nice AMOLED and all the great specs, but ultimately end up regretting my decision to go Samsung. Going to hang on to the G6 until the fall and see if anything else shiny captures my attention. I'm interested to see how they all carry the minimal bezel design forward for the next round of phones.

I was considering the G6 to upgrade from my G4 but wasn't impressed with the price tag or what I was seeing in person with the device compared to my G4 so I will hold out to see the V30.

The only thing the S8+ won't have compared to the Note 8 is an S Pen.

Love this phone. Sold my Moto Z yesterday. Still have a Pixel in reserve. I'm set for now.

How LG slipped down with awful camera after the amazing G4/V10 cam?

G6 is good phone for 2016, but even in 2016 it can't hold anything vs the S7E, which is a better buy, let alone the S8.

I got my mate 9 and planning maybe getting the Mate 10 if there is big enough improvement, best battery life i ever seen.

It's not an awful camera. Not even close. With some software tweeks, its going to be one of the best of the year.

I don't think it can be fixed with software but I guess we will see.

I think it can be, the question is, is this the "final" camera software LG intended? Or do they plan to touch it up once this phone goes live ala HTC 10 or the S7's initial yellow tint issue.

I know the V20 had some of the same issues that were never fixed, but this is their most highly regarded release, perhaps ever.

We'll see I guess in a few days.
