Anyone with a problem-free Pie update.

No issues that I have noticed so far. I went from beta to official and been using it daily.

No issues never even had to stop using the phone other than the quick reboot, went from N to P, kept Nova as the launcher , I think I changed one dark setting...I use the phone like I did before , can not remember to do gestures.

Just got the phone as the update came out, so I have no previous experience with it, but so far it has been flawless with two exceptions: sometimes double tap to wake doesn't work, and the fingerprint scanner can be finicky.

Been on Pie since day 1 of official update with no issues. The overall experience has actually improved.

Purchased a Pixel 2 XL direct from Google and popped in vzw sim. No issues before and after pie update.

Thanks for the replies. I've updated my replacement phone and did a factory reset. Still playing around with it, but so far, so good.

No issues beyond a slight stutter when changing wallpaper (which I do a lot). Based on my observations, battery life is slightly better too. Happy with the update.

I've only had pixel2xl for 2 weeks (s7 edge user after the note 7 mess) and love pie. haven't had any problems. one of the best phone ever. the battery life is killer

The fingerprint scanner went out on mine pretty soon after the update. The replacement was a little better, but I still couldn't get a whole finger scanned (and I usually do at least 4). I have a replacement replacement coming now, and if that doesn't fix it, they'll send me a new one. (The warehouse is out of stock on new Pixel 2s - I'm hoping that means no more production and I'll be "forced" to "accept" a Pixel 3.)

Otherwise, better battery life with Pie. Pixel 2 and never put betas in it. The update was OTA (unlike a lot of previous updates, which I've been doing Deuce flashes for).

No Xposed yet on Pie. And the Simple Analog Clock doesn't show (but the widget's there - I can long-press it and get the menu). It showed on the replacement. Strange. (Also TWRP 3.2.1.2 works fine on this one -but it, and 3.2.3, failed to decode on the replacement ... which came with 8.0 and wanted to update in a few minutes. Unfortunately, I didn't remember to look at the date of the last update on it.)

Well, we'll see next week, with replacement 2.5. (Why 2.5? The daily driver is a replacement for a bad OTA update back around February, so I'll be on my 4th Pixel 2 next week. Still, no complaints)

I think the important thing is that they're taking care of you, and if I had the same experience I don't think I'd have complaints either.

Tough to answer, since use cases are so wildly different ... Personally, I'm 98% free of any issues. My only enigma has been trying to understand the battery regulation ... It's amazing for me during daytime with actual use, but my overnight idle has been more draining then on Oreo. Puzzling ...

Right after upgrading I noticed idle battery drain being higher with Pie than before with Oreo so I started taking data. I've got about 10 days now and it appears the overnight drain has curtailed itself. I'm right around 1% per hour, about where I was with Oreo, whereas just after getting Pie it was around 1.5% per hour. I've also noticed that battery life overall seems to be improved. But I'll have definitive numbers pretty soon and I'll post them.

To the OP--yes, I've had a trouble free transition to Pie.

Working ok. gesture navigation had a bit of a delay on home button response compared to the traditional 3-button nav.

One thing I'm not a fan of - obtrusive (imo) calendar notifications on always on display. It shrinks the clock waaaayy too small for me. Does anyone know if the calendar notifications can be turned off? Or just keep the clock bigger.

No issues here. In fact I think the BT issue with the Gear S2 watch has been fixed. Haven't actually tested but it seems I can be connected to my car stereo and still answer calls on the watch.
