You should read the link I posted. They have clearly innovated in the past few years.

I did, and it's nice to know that they are able to make a better UI because of Apple. No, I am not saying they're stealing... so let's nip that in the bud. The patents forced Google to re-think everything they were doing, I think. And now the UI is just plain amazing, from the App Tray to the settings and so forth.

I guess I just think of innovation as BIG things. Google innovated search, for example. Apple innovated when they made OS X. Xerox innovated the GUI. The list could go on and on.

Look at the facts. Apple started it, no reason to twist what "could be," because Google is about innovation and open source. I doubt they would ever care to pick on the poor kid holding his sign on the street in CA.

You can not group ALL devices like that. That is the beauty of it. Sure, some are locked and with proprietary skins, but the NEXUS? That is what I refer too. Apple will never catch Google slipping up. They want nothing to do with copying a boring ssa interface that is so old mold grows on it. Gawd I hate that OS.

I had several Nexus devices....I kept getting ones that didn't work right. I hate to say it, but it is truth. Besides, my s3 is so unlocked it is not even funny

If you care to do some research it's out there. The patent is pending from the last info I have seen but that doesn't shield you from a lawsuit..... Which the link I posted indicates apple will need too address.

On a slightly related note, I'm starting to think I shouldn't buy any Android device that doesn't have Nexus attached to it. Aside from the upgrade path, it just feels like the device works better with their OS for some reason.

Is it placebo?
