Are phones getting too big?

Well..... Yeah...... They are!!!! Apple upgraded the iPhone again. They have the 6 and 6 plus the iPhone 6 has a 4.7" screen and the 6 plus is slightly bigger. Honestly, they look cool to me. I have the Fierce 2 by Alcatel. It has a 5" screen!!!! I'm not going any bigger! (At least not now...)

You have no idea what phones are good do you lol. Jkjk but seriously, I don't understand why people think the iPhone is so nice. Oh I know it because Apple perfected the curved phone.... hahahah

Only problem is my damn battery. In the future people probably won't be able to hold the phones in their hands or put in their pocket. lmao! 😁😂😁😂

Yeah it was a joke lol. No hard feelings. I have a note 2 and waiting for the note 5 sometime this year. I would love a note series phone with a 6 inch screen.

I think the fact that the One M9 and Galaxy S6 have the same screen size as their predecessor says a lot about where we are with phone sizes for mainstream phones.

Hopefully we've reached the limit in mainstream phones. I think what Ry said is a good indication. I understand there will always be some that want larger so there will always be some market. That's OK. I know when I picked up the Nexus 6, that it surpassed the size I want. The G3 and Moto X 2014 pushed the limit but were still comfortable. Iphone 6+ and Note 4 were right at my limit.

I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 4... This is a large phone but there is a unique feature on this phone that reduces the screen size for smaller hands and the key board shifts to either side... A great feature!.. This phone is packed with great technology that you won't see on any phone! Sorry Apple your iPhone is not in the same league!

Ah... you mean this:

I love this feature. I must admit though, I'm not crazy about the gesture to get to it, the fast swipe from the sides-to middle-and back. I prefer Apple's Reachability approach with a light double-tap on the home button.

I had the opportunity to change from my note 4 to the s6, but when I saw the new s6 I changed my mind because the s6 was just to small!..I can't imagine going to a smaller phone...To each his own..

The only real hope is that the new Apple 5e, which is supposed to be a 4" phone with high end specs, will drive the market to smaller flagship phones.

Slim chance IMO because only a few of us in the big picture of things want a smaller phone. All I want is a phone exactly the size my LG G2 was. Maybe the S7 will be that size. 4.8 to 5.1" screen with tiny bezels all the way around is about perfect.

The big phone people have had their run of the candy store for a while now, let's hope the smaller phone production is going to kick in now for those of us that have no desire to go bigger than 5.1.

4.8" please!!

I personally think anywhere in the 4'' spectrum is perfect for smaller hands, and is in general the most unisex format out there. It's small in the sense that it isn't a spectacular TV or Movie watching ratio, but isn't too small that the majority of popular apps are impossible to see.

No, phones are now media devices, games, videos, movies. Smaller phones and their tiny displays, smaller batteries etc. I can't type for **** on 5.1 inch phones much less 4.7. No 5.5 is the smallest phone I'd ever buy in 2016. I loved the Nexus 6, I only returned it because of the wonky auto focus in videos which was never addressed by google. :-X
