The S8 looks like a winner. But I want to play with it first to see how it works in my hand with very little side bezel.

You know, many people are saying that you should play with it first before you buy it and I totally agree. When I first got the S7 Edge, it almost slipped out of my hand multiple times, and the palms of my hands with click on keys on the side of the keyboard when I typed. It is definitely something you have to get used, especially when you come from a phone that doesn't have that type of screen.

It is good practice to check out a phone first. Unfortunately, with this phone, it is so beautiful in person that there has been quite a few that just could not resist once they did so.

For this reason, I won't even go near a Best Buy right now

I may go just to see if I would be happy enough with the S8 over the S8+. If not, I'll have a HUGE dilemma on my hands.

Can anyone help me out which phone should I buy for my uncle. I'm little bit confused between G6 or S8 or Xperia XZ premium or Iphone 7. I had so many reviews but still confused. Some Says G6, some people says s8 and some says iPhone 7.

Just came back to from Best Buy. While it's clear I'd rather have the S8+ over the S8, I think we're still going with the S8 thanks to greedy T-mobile. I can't justify $56 per month over the $30 per month waiting for the Note8 for just a slightly larger screen.
The S7E was the smallest phone we've had since the Galaxy Nexus. We'll adjust. I would rather put money down on the phone I really want.

As much as I would like to pre-order the S8, I am reluctant to do so for pricing reasons.

I bought the unlocked S7 edge for $600 a few months ago, yet I am asked to spend $200 more for the comparable newer phone (with taxes) from a carrier.

I would prefer to abide my time until the unlocked phones are released to see what the traffic will bear. My S7 edge phone is currently working just fine.

Is the price of S8+ same as Note 7 in US? Somehow it is much more expensive than Note 7 in my area. Have decided to just wait for Note 8 since need to pay for such a premium.

i saw a video about that today too...was pretty excited until i saw you have to basically open your phone and allow the app permission for everything. too intrusive for my tastes. hopefully xda can come up with a better solution after some time with the phone.

I'm giving Samsung another shot after the Note 7 debacle which put me back on an iPhone 7 Plus. So, I pre-ordered an orchid grey S8 last night. Hopefully this one will be a keeper.
