Are you gonna buy a pixel or the 3 XL

The blue shift issue was not over blown or over rated. It caused many to return and many others to pass on the pixel 2 XL. That issue will forever be linked with this phone and not in a good way.

I was but ... now I am on an iPhone. Mainly due to the disappointment of no Pixel Watch. I really wanted a watch more than anything so got a Series 4 LTE one.

We don't have any documented numbers to support or disagree that was it overblown. Most complaints about any given issue on any given product are over blown vocally in the media and in forums. As an example one reviewer complained about burn in on the Pixel after two weeks and we didn't hear about many other incidents. In spite of that the discussion about burn in continued for quite awhile and created the illusion that it was an issue. Most cases of burn in are self inflicted and it can happen to any OLED screen.

Nice purchase.

My girlfriend has the Series 4 and I must say, it's a stellar watch. I'm not really into smart watches, but I think Apple have hit the nail on the head with the Series 4. If I had an iPhone, is absolutely pick one up. You have an iPhone XS/XS Max as well?

Also some good news, I've been reading that the LG V40 has LG's new OLED screens which are an improvement over the V30/Pixel 2 XL screens: https://www.androidpolice.com/2018/10/03/v40-lgs-answer-galaxy-note-9-used-week/

"The display is a marked improvement over the V30's (and thus the Pixel 2 XL's), but it's still not on Samsung's level for sheer brightness and contrast."

Still not as good as Samsung's panels, but still, anything better than the 2XL screen is very welcome.

Yep. Series 4 LTE & iPhone X S Max.
Did you have the Pixel 2 before the iPhone XS Max? If so, how do you like it compared to the Pixel 2?

I'm still undecided which way I'm going this year. Leaning towards the Pixel 3, but Note 9, OnePlus and iPhone are contenders.

Yeah I had a Pixel 2 XL for a year. Loved it -- just really wanted a good watch.

4gb of ram, smaller battery with a larger screen and a ridiculously large notch, so nope. See what next year brings.

If you interested in the note 9, you trade in the pixel 2 xl -400.00 or pixel 2 - 300.00 off the price on their website or carrier locked not bad

Unfortunately they don't have those trade in options in Australia.

You know anyone living here in the states maybe coming that way to you or you coming here ? I would hate to know what the asking price by you is for note 9 or any phone for that matter.

If yer holding out for a whole year, not going to buy a Google Pixel 3 XL just because of the notch.
What are you gonna do for a year while we are playing with our New Pixel phones.

I'd imagine get a different phone or keep their current phone for another year. Not going to promote a device that has bad design and internal hardware decisions.
