Are You Happy With Your Nexus 6?

I have it on mine , still to slippery .
Still need my spigen thin fit case

Drats... :) I probably have the same spigen case. Still... if only someone had the same sticky, soft touch material used on the Nexus 5. I could hold that phone nearly vertical without it slipping. The Spigen is better than stock, but a bit slippery, especially with really dry hands.

Have had my N6 CW64 for over a week now. Upgraded from an N5. I have been so happy with the N6. The build quality "feel" is excellent. learning to hold it differently to keep firmly in my hands. Added white carbon dbrand today. Noticeable grip difference to manage device without case. Couldn't be more pleased to have a large screen during holiday travel for books and movies.

I have the same skin on my Nexus 5. Love it.

Got my blue 32g today . Love it, I have a bit of a silly query , the wallpapers you see in the ads on the Google Playstore I do not see in my wallpaper list. I got mine through AT&T.

Nexus 6 – Google

I have looked and do not see these wallpapers anywhere, are these on the GP editions?

Thanks for the help.

I really need to get a case, in dread f dropping this beauty.

I've had my N6 almost a month now. Yesterday I decided to put my n5 on swappa. I pulled it out of the box and played around with it and I was shocked at how tiny it was. It was my baby for the last year, but now am glad to kick it to the curb.

Once you use a big phone, you will never go to a 5 incher. I don't know how I ever got along without this hunk of a phone.

This is my first Nexus and I'm coming from the Note 3. No regrets so far.

Agreed. I've had mine for a month as well and I came from the tiny 2013 Moto X. Although the Moto X was great to hold in the hand, I never watched videos or played that many games on it because I felt the screen was too small. Transitioning to the Nexus 6 only involved adjustments in how I held it, and yes sometimes you had to two-hand it to reach things at the top or upper corner, but otherwise it was a great decision to make. Love the screen size; great for watching media or playing games.

Don't forget about them front facing speakers. They are the bomb.

Them side and rear facing crp just don't cut it. You gotta cup your hand just right and let the sound kinda bounce forward to get ok sound. This phone, you just look at the screen and bam you got stereo sound, no fancy hand holds needed.

I've only had the Nexus 6 for a week but I really enjoy the experience so far. Love the big screen, front facing speakers, absolutely no bloatware and most importantly among the first to get OS updates.
The N6 radios are killer. I was use to getting 7Mbps download. I thought it was because I lived on a hill or something. Now I get 30Mbps download. I can't wait to see what I get in a better area.

N6 with root and unlimited data!

I've got no strings to hold me down / to make me fret, or make me frown / I had strings, But now I'm free / There are no strings on me!

You'd be surprised. While I love the size of my Note 4 I also appreciate my smaller and lighter S5. ...glad to have both.

from the S5 🔋📱

2103 Moto X to Nexus 6, received my 64GB midnight blue model yesterday. I was a happy Moto X owner, but, you know the disease. I have to say I was reluctant at first, but, the Nexus 6 had every box checked off except for the screen size, the new Moto X fell short of what I wanted in a couple of areas so I took the plunge. I am very happy with every aspect of the phone and I will be able to get used to the size. I have come to learn that there is no, nor will there ever be, a perfect phone, but, this one comes close. Again my only reluctance was the size but I realized that with average to small hands I have never really been able to one hand many of the phones that I have owned. With the Moto X I was probably at 90% one handed use, ,there is always some task that makes you reach all the way over to the opposite corner, with the Nexus 6 I am already at 70% one handed usage and learning to adapt. Gotta say one of the greatest functions in Lollipop that I hear little buzz about is the smart lock feature. No more unlock pattern while driving ( smart unlocked to cars bluetooth ) woo hoo.

@NerdTopper, regarding your 5 hours usage.
Sorry if this has been answered before, but how? Is this typical? I can't seem to get more than 3 hours usage. GOod for you that you can get that, just trying to figure out how this is possible, and how I can get this. Is this all day usage or after 5 straight hours?

I had never had a phone anywhere near this big, but I became accustomed to the size very quickly. Now I cannot imagine anything smaller! Here is what I don't like about the Nexus 6:

1.
2.
3.
4.
5.
6.

That's all I could think of. :D

Phablets are like that, you get used to the size very quickly.

Yeah.... I sat down recently to go over the issues I had, and I was quite happy to see that they were minor quibbles... "First World Problems" type stuff.

1) The back is a little slippery
2) .... the speaker grills get a little dusty
3) The "Preferred Network Type" weights the selected connection too high... so it won't connect to the HSPA+ only T-Mo booster at my house over the weaker LTE tower nearby.
4) ......... um...... The way Lollipop handles my work's 'guest' wifi hotspot (for mobile device access to the outside) doesn't quite work right with the challenge portal thing
5) Priority interuptions doesn't extend to Hangouts.

Last three aren't even Nexus 6 specific.

Interesting.... I just watched a 45 minute episode of Dr Who, 100% brightness, on an LTE connection... another 15 minutes of misc junk.... so an hour total lost 10% of my battery. Now, for streaming video with my screen cranked on an LTE connection.... I'm fine with that.

I got my Nexus 6 about less than a week ago at T-Mobile. As far as the size....not a problem. Yes It's big. It's a phablet. But. I would say my hands are normal sized. Not sure why folks made such a big fuzz about the size. Yes. It's bigger than the Nexus 5. I have no issue handling this phone.

I just got mine this morning. I'm loving it so far. Battery has been much improved over my nexus 5. I need a case for this phone though.

I'm very happy with mine. I had a Nexus 4 and when it was time to upgrade I looked at the Nexus 5, but it was.. in MY opinion bland looking so I went with the Samsung Galaxy S5. I then got tired of Samsung's and AT&T's bloatware so I upgraded early to the Nexus 6.
