Are you happy with your phone/is it defective?

Have you had a defective phone in which Verizon had to give you a replacement?

oh wow. yeah that's not normal.. especially if you're actively using the screen and it goes blank. weird

I found out what caused the issue! If you're on bluetooth, the phone is still using the light sensor to turn off the screen (which is the way it knows to turn the screen off when you're on the phone and hold it against your ear).

While you are using a bluetooth headset during a phone call, wave a finger over (without touching the phone) over the light sensor. The screen will turn off. The location is such that if you accidentally cover the light sensor and then you start reaching for the power button to turn the screen back on, you will keep tripping the light sensor to turn off the screen.

At least the phone is smart enough to turn off the light sensor when you are on speakerphone. I'm not quite sure how to easily switch back and forth from bluetooth and speakerphone during a phone call though.

My T came off, I went to Verizon and they gave me a brand new battery door. I need to make a second visit because I am experiencing horrible sound quality...sentences being cut off, and general static.

Picked my first Incredible up at Best Buy on launch coming from the BB Storm 9550 it was night and day was absolutely blown away by android and the device. Had to return my first one because I notice an abnormal "fuzz" sound when music was very low or I had it on speaker phone. The replacement is working A ok and I couldn't be happier...Android for life lol

Both me and my dad are having problems with our incredibles...what is really alarming to me is that so many people are saying yea....my FIRST ONE had issues, and the 2nd/3rd is better! Makes u wonder just how many have been returned..

Everyone is still getting Hardware Version 0002, right? Even if you send your phone back, aren't you still getting the same batch of phones?

First phone I've ever received that I DIDN'T have to replace for defects. Works flawlessly (except for one "bug" that was caused by an app, that I just uninstalled and the "bug" went away).

Best phone I've ever owned. Calls are crystal clear, battery life with my useage is about 20 hours on the stock battery. First Smartphone and I'm not looking back! :D

i love the phone, although i dont get to play with it as often as i would like. made the move from the S1, my wife was hesitant to do so now she has to wait a month or so.
