Are you happy with your s6 Active

For all the people who may have tried the S6 before getting the Active, do you miss not having the fingerprint sensor? I tried out my sister's S6 and using fingerprint to bypass the lockscreen seems really useful

The scanner is a nice feature. However, the durability and bigger battery in the Active was more important to me.

My Activity button is set to do this 😉

Nice! My only thing is, I sing want to have to shut this off, or that off. Ya know what I mean? I just want to use my phone and not have to worry about the need to charge it or if I can get to a charger in time. This may be what I need.

The times I put in my post were with pretty much everything on, GPS on high accuracy, 3 email accounts syncing every hour, auto brightness on, and a mix of WiFi on and mobile data on. I never turn off my data, whether it's WiFi or mobile data.

The more I use the phone the more I like it. I think TouchWiz is pretty smooth on top of Android 5.0

I've been using my phone pretty hard( for me anyway) streaming music, YouTube, texting, making phone calls, seems I've just been using it more than normal the past 5 days. 9

My PDair leather holster came the other night I had ordered it for my LG g4 to keep it looking nice and keep it protected since I was going naked with it. It fits the S6A perfectly and rides close to the hip too. It's a great holster and this quick picture doesn't do it justice.

So.. I just thought I would say that this phone is pretty phenomenal in spite of having "dumb buttons" as they have been described and just 32 gigs internal storage. The call quality and reception in better than any I have had to date, the WiFi reception is as well.. I have had but 1 issue with 1 application refusing to open and have sent the report on to them and that is my Pykl3 next rad radar..

I have shown this phone to a lot of people and all have come away very impressed with it. The only bad thing anyone has said about it is that it is only available on AT&T... so the sooner Samsung gets it on other carriers and in the European market the better it will sell.

The biggest gripe I have is I didn't get it sooner... lol

Now I am researching some nice external amps to do a 2 channel stereo set up with it..

I really love this phone and what it can do for music

Just bought mine today. I'll be firing it up tomorrow and I can't wait. I really liked my S6, but I hated feeling tethered to a charger. I have a feeling I'll be pretty happy with this phone.

This S6A rocks- best Samsung phone since the Galaxy 2 (which I upgraded from). After a good days use (3 hours screen), I still have 69% battery left. No root, and minimal bloat disabled. AoN

I had and returned the S6 & S6E and I'm pretty sure that my new active is better than those two. I could care less about the fingerprint scanner and enjoy the long battery life with the durability. No more worrying about if the phone will die before the day is even done.

I don't have the Active. I have the Nexus 6 right now. I'm looking at getting the Active. I'm getting around 3 hours of SOT on the Nexus. I maxed out around 3 hours on the S6. If I can average 5 hours and never have to worry with the Active, I'm all in. That's the only thing I miss about the 6 Plus...

3 hrs sot????? Cmon now... i don't belive that

Why not? Too low or too high? I got 2 hours and 42 minutes yesterday on the Nexus.

Too low... you might have to change some of your habits man.... or get the phone that's coming out with the 10k mah battery

I don't know what habits I have to change. That would require me to not use my phone as a smartphone. I have two email accounts and 4 social media apps that I use. I don't game. I check social media maybe once a day. I leave wifi on and have GPS set to battery saving mode.

I was saying it was too low for the s6

Oh, definitely, so far in 2 weeks the best I've gotten on my S6 Active has been 6 hours 21 minutes SoT, with a total unplugged for that day off charger of 17 hours 19 minutes. That's with everything on and no power saving mode.
