Yes, the LED is color-configurable. I have a very fetching screaming hot magenta for emails from work. Not sure about the blink rate though, AoN

Most apps have it in their own settings or you can use an app like Lightflow or light manager.

Another question:

Are there any rumors on the horizon of a new S6Active potentially coming out soon with either larger memory or a FP scanner? I'd be willing to wait if there was some short timeframe for something even newer.

I do not believe they will make another variant of the S6A unless another carrier obtains rights to the branding. Which given this is such a low volume handset, would deem it highly unlikely.

But with everything the S6A has to offer, the fps is well worth the trade off for me. Am sure there are other methods of securing the phone as well as the kill switch law went into effect in CA. yesterday. Have not read much about it, but the software is in all current Samsung phones, among others.

I sold my S6A a couple days ago due to being self employed & work is slow. Went back to my old phone. But if the old handset dies tomorrow, will be getting another S6A w/o question.

Got the S6 Active last weekend, and mostly loving it. I am encountering some problems with the battery though. One day, I was barely able to get 1 hr SOT...

I am currently aggressively trimming down apps that is draining my battery and limiting background data for apps that doesn't need it to narrow down what is causing the battery drain. Last night, I got ~ 5 hrs of SOT, which is much more acceptable... Continuing the monitor what is draining my battery....

I went from S5 active to S6 and the S6 active, I can really tell the difference between the S5 active and S6 active, it just feels better in my hand. I loved the feel of the S6, great design and feel in the hand, but the lack of ruggedness....water resistance and the feelinf of needing to put a case on it, made me miss my S5 avtive. As soon as I read about the S5 active I decided to get it. I have had a great experience so far.

Size, great pictures, customization. I came from a i(am boring)phone. lol. I am used to a commuter case though and I believe the active needs just a bit more girth to it for my comfort. I will probably get a small case.

Guys, pay the $1.50 for Package Disabler on the play store, and start going to town disabling things you don't need. Their " Disable all bloatware " option is too aggressive, and you'll have to re-enable several things, but once I was done, I regularly had 1 GB free of RAM and the phone now runs like a well oiled machine! Huge difference. No more lag loading programs, no more sluggishness that made me wonder why my s5 performed better. Game changer!

I've never had to charge before the end of the day. Most charges last me easily 1.5 to 2 days, and it only takes roughly an hour and a half to top it back to full.

That said depending on how you use it it ymmv. gsmarena has this phone at the absolute top of it's battery life chart which says something...
