Are you planning to get the Pixel 7?

I've been very happy with my Pixel 6, apart from taking several months to sort out the fingerprint sign on. The 7 doesn't seem a lot different so I'll probably stick what what I've got.

You get 3 OS updates and 5 years of security updates, it would seem a shame to dump it after a year ;) I've always kept my pixels till the security updates stopped... knowing I have 5 years if I choose to keep it that long is very nice :D It would make a very secure backup phone at the minimum :p

I'm going to pay close attention to the feel of the P7. I'm one of those that found the the P6 pro to feel a bit cheap in hand. The s22 ultra has a much more premium feel. I don't like the hollow and plasticky feel of the P6P.

Put a nice leather case on it and it'll suddenly feel much more premium :p All I noticed was that it was super slippery... a case is a must for this phone. I have 2 leather cases on the way, I'm not going to use it till I get them.

The more I read about the P7 series the more I get the feeling the law of "diminishing returns" apply. Depending on trade-in values for my Pixel 6 Pro I may just wait to see what the Pixel 7a offers. I've really enjoyed using the P6a in place of my P6P that I'm fine taking a wait see approach this time around.

The a line continues to be one of the more popular pixel models it seems year after year. Google was incredibly smart to start the model line and keep it going. I believe they typically outsell their flagship big brothers :p

Absolutely. A smart move was to put the same Tensor chip in the P6a.
A big deal was made of the 60hz refresh rate but in setting up the P6a for my wife I really didn't notice a big difference between it and my P6P 120hz rate. Since I turn off all window animations both phones seem equally fast. Now that I use the P6a as my main phone I don't feel I've had a compromised experience. Of course my reported battery life has been comparable to my P6P.
Btw:The 6a fps has been working great.
Of course I might change my mind depending on how "shiny" the P7 series is.

I'm saying no ATM, I am going to wait for their version of the fold. I like my 6 pro except for the weak network signal

I decided to give the fold 4 a try instead of upgrading to the newest pixel this year. It's a pretty solid experience aside from the few remaining annoyances of the Samsung ui. The pixel 7 looks to be too similar to the 6 to really get excited about.
I'll keep the fold until the pixel 8 or the first or second gen pixel fold comes around. I really wish they would have given some details in the pixel fold release timeline at I/o.

I am ordering a Lemongrass P7 for my wife as soon as pre-orders go live. She loves her P5, great phone. But after 2 years it is showing a little wear & tear and she has that urge for a shiny new phone.

So I'm thinking I'm going to come back to the Pixel family and get the 7Pro. I have a S20+. It's a nice phone but I really miss some of the Pixel features from when I was using my Pixel 3.

I'm having trouble trying to use other brands of phones because I prefer the features and layout of pixels. I actually want to be more flexible and try new things, but when I do I just end up heading back to a pixel ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I'm going to force myself to use my Flip for awhile just to try and embrace Samsung's version of Android... I don't want to be a one trick pony ;)

I would use my Pixel more if only the cell reception on it would be on par with my other phones. This is my 1 and probably only complaint.

I'm the same way. Part of me wants to try something new, but there's a lot of the stuff that makes a Pixel a Pixel that I enjoy on my phone.

Just got the Pixel 6 Pro last year, I like to wait a couple years minimum before upgrading so I feel it's worth it. Maybe Pixel 8, but if this phone is still good in a year I'll wait even longer for Pixel 9.

I tried the Pixel 6Pro after being on Android since the beginning and decided after selling it, I would not be a beta tester for Google again. I’m very satisfied where I’m at with cell communication.

Pixel 9 -- now THAT sounds exciting!

I do plan on buying it! I've been eagerly anticipating its launch. So much is happening IRL right now that it's hard to keep up with leaks -- but I'm really looking forward to launch!

You do need a new phone and I think the 7 will be a great phone for you
