Are you planning to get the Pixel 7?

I am having a really hard time pulling the trigger at $750 for the 7 with the 256gb memory. Granted they are offering $100 trade in for my Pixel 2XL but still...

My 2xl is still working fine so there's really no reason to other than for the sake of buying something new which does nothing different. There is still no headphone jack, still no micro-usb storage, both of which were things i really wanted on my next phone. I like the raw android on Pixel though, can't do the Samsung bloatware. I'm just going to hold off for now and see what kind of screaming deals come up around the holidays and black friday etc.

My wife wanted me to get a iphone so we had the same phone type, but i was looking at the prices and NOPE, not doing it. I also can't stand the IOS interface and how hard it is to get photos/files off the device to a desktop.

Realistically...i'll probably just keep chugging along on the 2XL until it stops working.

It's hard to justify an upgrade when your current phone works so well! I'm glad you will be able to get trade-in value for your Pixel 2 XL should you get a Pixel 7 now or in the future!

I decided to get the Pixel 7P instead of the regular 7. Traded in my S22 for $570 which is more than I'd get selling the s22 on my own. So the p7p is only $13/month with google. Besides I just couldn't go through with the P7 due to its smallish size.

All flagship phones these days are some variation of great. Great cameras, great connectivity, great screens, CPUs and RAM that are more than fast enough for just about any use other than perhaps hard-core gaming.

That being the case, in the absence of screen or other damage, there seems little reason to move from any current flagship to the latest and greatest flagship. I'll stick with the P6Pro a while longer. :)

I agree. I love my 6 Pro and will not be changing it this year. But my husband is upgrading from the 4xl to the 7 Pro as soon as it arrives. Due tomorrow but we will see. Had no notification yet.

I switched to Pixel 7 Pro from Pixel 5 and of course, difference between these two phones is huuuuuge. Unfortunately, I need to get used to the size of the screen. 6" vs 6,7" yezz... I am switching my phones every two years, it is good practice, I think.

I wish, and I am sure my does as well, that I could go 2 years without upgrading a phone.

That how I read it as well but also know that the $700 is in bill credits over 36 months You can't pay it off early either or you lose the bill credits.

Done.

In-store trade for cracked V30 out of a drawer took $700 off the top of a 256gb snow. DPP for the balance. Oh, and I keep my 6 Pro!

Gave up gUDP, adopted a 2nd line (which I had coming anyway), put everything on paperless/autopay, DPP, plus corporate discount...my bill is only $30 higher for 2 lines (play+start vs gUDP) and both lines got new phones.

They gave you $700 for LG V30? Am I missing something?

Find it sad that zero T Mobile stores or BB stores within 70 miles do not have any of either in stock. Guess they don't want to sell any.

I was surprised that T-Mobile I went to like four of them over here on the island and none of them had the phone., That was the only carrier that didn't have any on display.,

Because of the 3 or 4 years of OS updates (I forget), and the 5 years of security updates, the pixels from the 6 going forward should hold their value better I would think? Maybe better trade in or resale values ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I know I'll be keeping my 6 Pro longer because of it, and makes it more valuable to me ;)

I bit on the hook, upgraded from P6 to P7. With upgrade from BestBuy it only cost me a net $45 so figured why not.

The **** that bothered me with P6 is gone, that being slow arse failed regularly finger print reader. Nice to have face unlock, has not worked perfectly but seems to be getting better, perhaps it's learning.

Initially it feels a bit more responsive overall, but no specific test to verify my gut feeling.

Upgrade was easy, connect P6 to P7 with charging cable and almost everything was copied over.

Still TBD, is modem any better giving better connection and is battery performance any different.

For $45 it's worth the upgrade, IMHO. I figure P7 will be worth more than $45 vs P6 on any future trade in offers such as P8
