Well, it looks like I'm going to order my Pixel 7 Pro through Verizon. Google dropped the trade in value for my S22 plus from $620 to $535. Verizon will give me $800 off via monthly credits.

Ok. I just did the math and it's actually cheaper to go with the Google store.

Verizon:
$999-$800 trade in=$200.

$10/month for the upgraded data= $360. Assuming I keep the phone for 36 months it would cost me roughly $560. Thats not including the 6% sales tax or activation fee. That's an extra $90.

$849x$.06(sales tax)=$900. $900-$535=$365.

Verizon - $560+$90 activation and tax.
Google - $365

Still not as cheap as I was hoping, but I don't really see the point in going for the regular 7.

I think I will end up paying the full amount of $365 instead of financing it. Just so I don't have to worry about it. Plus I'll still be paying off the credit line from Samsung.

As far as convincing my wife, I will explain to her how slow this phone is and how I really want to be able to take the best pictures possible on our anniversary trip next June.

My other less desirable option is to sell it on Swappa. But currently there are 73 listings for the S22+. I'm not sure it would sell quickly or that I want to deal with the hassle of trying to sell it.

Yeah, it was one of those that seemed too good to be true, but all worked out as expected.

No issues with camera, pics look good and new tools available for photo editing are nice.
