Are you switching from another carrier for EVO?

Are you switching from another carrier for Sprint?

^Palm better perk up and get something announced before Evo is released. I much prefer webOS to Android but can't read the freakin screen.

It hurts Palm too that Evo is coming out right at the 1 year mark when Pre came out, so easier to switch. Not many Hero switchers in the poll, since that came out in Oct.

If I lived in a 4g market it may make sense, but I don't. It makes more sense to pay more each month and receive all the services I am paying for, than to pay less each month and include services I cannot access like 4g. Lets not forget that AT&T 3g allows for simultaneous voice and data while you can only do that on Sprint's meager 4g network. Driving 4 hours for that benefit just doesn't make sense to me.

If you don't text, id get your reasoning. Dropping text would keep your bill to 69 on ATT. But otherwise, I'd call you an idiot for essentially paying an extra 10/month just to spite Sprint over an extra charge, not even quality of service. Can you just stop trolling? The majority of us is going to pay that charge regardless of your crusade to inform us you think the fee is ridiculous, which we have heard multiple times over. Thanks.

I fully understand that you and many others here are unhappy with this fee, but lack the principles to stand up to it. Atleast with the extra $10 a month with AT&T I get simultaneous voice and data, 40k+ more apps(50-60k more apps if you go by Sprint's advertising), and the smooth reliability of an apple product. I have a lot of respect for google and its android phone O/S, but Sprint thinks I will pay extra money each month to use it. Sprint has it wrong, and to anyone else out there who feels like I do I want them to know they are not alone. Sprint could do so much better if they would just charge for the services people actually use instead of charging for services the majority of its subscribers cannot access.

I must say that this poll is encouraging for Sprint. Even though this is a small sample size, if Sprint can get that many defectors, this might turn out to be a big win.

I fully understand said 10 dollar fee and am not happy about it and I respect the fact you aren't happy about it, but can't you just keep telling Sprint that? But at that point, I'm willing to pay it because I happen to like the carrier. Not sure where you live but I live/work in the SF Bay Area and having AT&T and an iPhone 3G, I personally thought it was atrocious(mainly the network quality). Whatever floats your boat though.

I had Hero, switched to Pre because Hero was to slow, and small screen. Got Pre for a while then also sold it because it was slow. Now waiting for the EVO!

I am going to stick with my Incredible on Verizon. Because of my corporate discount, my VZW rates are reasonable, so cost is not a concern for me. The only thing that might have got me to switch is the 4G. However, I don't expect my area to get upgraded to 4G anytime soon, so that major feature does not apply to me. I will say HTC and Android are on fire right now and I am glad to see another top notch device come out. The only knock on my Incredible is the weak battery life. I hope it is better for you guys on the EVO. Otherwise, the Incredible is an awsome device so I have no doubts the EVO will be the same.

I also hope this works out well for Sprint. ATT and VZW need legit competition that can challenge them on price and hopefully bring prices down for all.

I have had nothing but problems with my BrokeBerry Curve 8900. Tmobile has been great with helping me out and sending me replacements even now upgrading me for free to the bold. However I was a G1 user and Loved android and till this day miss it alot. Few people I know have sprint but they speak good things of the service so I will try it for the 30 days, probably be satisfied in that time.

Switching from at&t I had and iphone, iphone 3g, HTC Tilt 2(I absolutely hated this phone), and now a Blackberry Bold 9700(which was sold on ebay already). I have mine preordered at my local radioshack and I was the first person to do so. I may have to take off work that day to spend some quality time with my new phone lol.

Looks like it's now about 40% coming from other carriers. Not that this small poll would apply to the real world but if even 20% of Evo sales are moves from other carriers, Sprint is in for a good quarter.

Leaving WebOS :(

But, the hardware is hard to pass up !

Atleast we're not stuck with $30 just to have the iPhone (data)

I live in a 4G area, so $10 is nothing. I'm going to continue to laugh at my friends that pay over $100 a mo. for their iphones. Wonder what all you apple boys are going to do Jun 7th if Apple doesn't announce a new iphone at WWDC.

Im thinking they might just cause it got leaked...
