AT&T HOX Update!!

My HOX updated no problem. I love that the Tabs button is on the top bar in the browser now.

google chrome tabs still act funny for me
sometimes they work sometimes they dont - have to clear cache to get them working
might have to revert back to stock browser until fixed

I noticed that boot up is WAY faster!
Awesome!

Mine's bricked too :-(

Just got off the phone with AT&T. According to the rep I spoke with, this is not a known problem, but probably because it just happened this morning. They are replacing my phone with a new device, not a refurb, and shipping it for delivery tomorrow. This will be my third One X. I'm not too happy with HTC, but I've been really impressed with AT&T customer service and how they have responded to my issues.

So has anyone figured out a way to unbrick the phone yet. I did the update and have the same black screen problem. I tried to go into the bootloader screen and even chose "factory reset" with the same results.

That's awesome, same thing here. I bought both One X's on May 4th, and haven't had a problem with either one until this OTA. I was on the phone with AT&T for 45 minutes telling them that I shouldn't have to pay for a replacement when YOUR (AT&T) official updated bricked my wife's phone. I would understand if I rooted the phone and unlocked the bootloader, but never did any of that. So far I'm impressed with the help I received from AT&T.

I have searched high and low, but unfortunately I haven't found anything yet. By the time someone figures it out, I'll have my replacement phone so it won't matter.

I think switching to the Mobile Data when going away from the WiFi network is not working so smoothly. I had to disable and re-enable the Mobile Data to make it work. It's working fine some times, though. I've observed this couple of times since yesterday. Is any one with same issue?

I gave up and called customer serivce and they are FedEx'ing me a replacement for Saturday delivery at no charge.

How are people still accepting OTA updates when they are rooted? That's Android 101 information.

I'm stock and the whole process took like 10 minutes. Home screen is faster. Hoping battery life will be improved a little

So they are not reloading as much?

No.. one specific example is I play alot of TrippleTown. I can exit the app, open 2-3 other apps, press the menu button and it resumes exactly where I was, no "reloading"

anybody notice in the chrome browser if you try to view additional tabs it just blacks out and doesn't show the tabs?
edit: i cleared my chrome cache - seem to fix the issue

Yeah I have the same issue with chrome after the update and I tried to clear the cache and even reinstall it but still having the issue when switching to different tabs

any idea?

thanks

While it's still not as great as a GNEX or even SGSIII it doesn't dump the cache after 30 seconds like it did before. I had Chrome, WWFriends (don't laugh), Flipboard and GChat open and was able to switch between them with no refreshes until I opened up a few more apps and waited about 15 minutes.

Again not perfect but certainly better.

YES! Ugh glad I'm not the only one but sorry to hear you have this too. I had to close the app entirely then relaunch it to get tabs to work again. If it keeps up I'm going to dump the cache and reinstall.
