Everything went smooth except for one thing, and I'm surprised nobody ever said this. But when you hit the app drawer after a long period of time (as in say you hit it when you wake up) it stutters as if it momentarily forgets you hit the button. Am I the only person that has that issue?
i work for a third party and got this email yesterday about the update here is the change log we got for the att one x.
I wonder what the SMS notification update it mentions was...?
Hi! interntional HTC One XL user here! (singtel, singapore)
When did you AT&T guys receive your update?, i got it in singapore 4 days from now (3 Aug 2012 GMT +8)
And that multitasking key settings is a godsend!
Got a problem, checked for and updated my One X but now the screen won't come on, the 3 buttons light up and the LED is showing that it's charging but no screen. Already pressed and held power button which restarted the phone but with the same results.
Any suggestions? Never had this happen on my other device.]
It happens to mine sometimes, Iam on my second phone I think it overheats and shuts down it should come back on in10-20 minutes. It seems when the phone over heats it drains the battery quickly or something.

Anyone's screen animations/transitions seem quicker?

Damn, mine downloaded the updated over wifi no problem but when trying to install it gets about 30% done and I get a red X and the everything locks up until I do a hard reset. The only mod I have done is to root the phone (no unlock) to remove bloatware, is this affecting the update? Has this happened to anyone else??

It is most certainly because you are rooted. These updates never play well with root, and usually remove any exploit used to root. Also, when you remove bloatware, you remove some apps that it's searching for to do the update. This has caused problems for me in the past on previous phones I had rooted, and an update would come down and try to install. I'd say, if I were you, I'd wait for a ROM of this one or a pre-rooted version to be made.
