AT&T Preorder?

I pre ordered mine in the store at 1 pm PST. Everything went through fine, except my rep had to call someone over to override the price for the media link. Evidently they had to add it and then subtract the price manually. edit: (I already have ATT--not a new customer)

Also, I found this interchange on the LA Times:

Guess What! Verified by Live Support too - if you already have AT&T, you can't Pre-Order the HTC One - AWESOME!

AT&T Really doesn't want my $300...
 
I just recieved the email from at&t that i can preorder. As i said im going to wait until the s4 comes and compare both in person. Neither of these will sell out and i dont usually do preorders. So hopefully by may 1st ill have a new phone.
 
My preorder went great. Went Online... Went to upgrade my line at 12:55 CST, HTC One was available. Got the 64gb Silver. Switched out the iphone unlimited data plan for the unlimited data plan. (grandfathered in). Was done by 1....

Wtf? So if you have an upgrade you cant preorder it? If they pull this crap with the s4 ill be pretty ticked off. They better damn well assure people they will have plenty of devices in stock at the stores.
 
I got the same bs from chat and phone support as well because I was premier. So I called my buddy who is a AT&T manager and he did a direct fulfillment order at his store for the preorder for me. should have never wasted my time with other avenues....

I should also mention the in store order also added the media link adapter for free.
 
No I'm good. But it's already been rooted and unlocked anyway. But again, I'm not buying based on "hackability" or I would keep my Nexus 4 :)
The US bootloader has not been hacked yet. I asked on xda yesterday. Its not even on the htc dev site yet.

Yeah because it's not out. It will be once it is. But again, I don't care either way. So I'm good either way. My purchases aren't based on if I can hack it. Thanks though.

I am extremely happy with my pre-order experience. I placed my order at 3:55 PST and had no problems with the Silver 32GB. The chat agent said it would ship on the 16th and arrive on the 19th.

PS. Anyone who wants to reserve the black can look at Costco.com.

Thats what I did via the website and upgrade option. During the Upgrade process, there is a section for Data Services and there is a Data Unlimited Plan for $30.00 (same as iPhone unlimited). and during checkout the iphone unlimited plan is shown as being removed from account and replaced with data unlimited plan.

Holy **** that's awesome! I wonder if the same will hold true if I buy the developer and just go in to the store to get it added to my family plan.
 
I got my order to go thru premier too for the 64 GB silver. While I was ordering a window popped up for the free media link and I ordered the media link too buy it didn't show up yet.

I copied and pasted it exactly. I assume he was making a copy of his online chat. Are you saying that another rep said it was "not true?" Were they a party to the online chat ? The person with the problem was also on the phone with a rep while he was doing an online chat. I'm not sure how a party who was not involved (you, the last rep you spoke with) can comment. Others had the same experience, if you read all of the posts. ATT seem to have cleaned it up and made it work. I am so disappointed with ATT at this point. I have gotten varied information in the past about things that anyone who works for ATT should know about. It has come to the point that I copy all of the online chats and take names. ATT is not consistent. i assume you work for ATT, and I appreciate your loyalty, and maybe you are extremely knowledgeable, but rest assured, all are not like you. They don't get dead last in customer service for nothing.
