AT&T Preparing To Ship

This is the last time I pre-order anything from AT&T. It's a ridiculous and stressful experience only get the phone on the same day they'll be available in-store. And if they have enough units to put on shelves on release day then no one who pre-ordered should have 'back ordered' showing. SMFH. I've learned pre-ordering with them is pointless.

Finally just got it shipped... from USPS as well.
There is an error with tracking from USPS website but hopefully that will change by tomorrow
 
Just got off the phone with one of the many AT&T representatives that I have talked to this week. I have still not received a status update on my phone. I ordered a jet black 32gb Note 3 on 9/22 and since then it has said "preparing to ship". The lady I talked to said the phone is supposed to ship on either the 1st or the 2nd and if I don't have a tracking number by this time tomorrow to call back. The AT&T representatives obviously don't know anything different than what it posted on the Order Status page. And trying to get straight information from representative to representative is like pulling teeth.
With others getting their tracking numbers as we speak, I can only hope I am next. If i don't receive a status update by this time tomorrow, then I will make sure that what ever AT&T representative I talk to at the time understands how frustrating the process is.

TLDR: ATT representatives dont know any more than what is posted on the Order Status. Tracking numbers are being posted now and hopefully things change in 24hrs.
 
This is probably the most frustrating thing in the world. This can be read on the order status page...regardless of anything this makes me feel like I'll get mine in about 2 weeks.

"Note: Your item will be shipped on or after the estimated ship date provided when you placed your order. In-stock equipment is typically delivered within four business days (standard) or within two business days (priority) once it leaves our warehouse.

Actual shipment date and receipt of your order is not guaranteed and may be subject to delays for reasons that include, but are not limited to, product availability, inventory, credit issues, number porting or carrier delays, and completion of other required AT&T business processes."
 
I ordered on 9/11. My order still shows preparing to ship oct 1-2. And no new email.

No email notification from anyone, but decided to check att website for an update. Lo and behold it says "processing" but also shows a TRACKING NUMBER! ! So check there if you are still in limbo!

I should have known better as my first pre-order experience with AT&T was bad. I placed an order only to have them cancel it
two days later, claiming a glitch. So I had to place another order. In the end I received the phone from the second order followed
a few weeks later with the phone from the first order.

Not to sound whiny, but what really pisses me off about this whole ordeal is the principal of the matter.
I'm not expecting sunshine and rainbows, but how about some honesty on status and an official shipping date?
I thought there were a couple of bonuses to ordering early; a) convenience and b) perhaps getting the device a day or two before it hits retail?

Or maybe I'm just thinking about this all wrong lol.

I preordered mine 9/6. AT&T order page still says order in progress with estimated shipping 9/11-9/13 (year right).
I just got off the phone with customer service, who informed me that the Note 3 was on backorder and that is why I haven't received any information. She could not tell me when it would ship and I was told I could not cancel my order because it was already sent to the warehouse. That's nice, but clearly my phone isn't in the warehouse. I also preordered with overnight shipping and asked what the point of paying for that was considering it was possible I would not receive the phone before it arrives in the store. All she said was that I could buy it in the store and refuse the package when it arrived. I don't think that will refund the cost of the overnight shipping though. I also told the person that on various forums I had read people that preordered after me had received shipping info and it was a joke that AT&T did not notify anyone that preordered of the backorder situation. I will never ever preorder from AT&T again!
 
I agree, pre-ordering from these people is a joke!
I'm hoping it comes in the earliest Oct 4. Since it just shipped tonight...

Tracking number! Ordered on 09/06 with overnight. Delivery tomorrow by 3pm.

I am in the same boat as you all are..
Pre-order date: 9/16
past AT&T status: shipping on 10/1-10/2
current AT&T status: shipping on 10/1-10/2
credit card status: NO credit card charged yet
BS customer care status : "dont worry, you will get your phone" !

At the end of this long waiting day..My status : Unknown !!!!
