Maybe I'm crazy here but see if you see a difference here too.
Settings, Display, Check the box Disable auto back light (temp), tap brightness, slide all the way down mine was default to about 35%, hit OK then unchecked disable auto back light.
This seemed to set the dynamic range of my display to a lower level and seems to help my battery usage.
Your thoughts????
