[Auto] Root and Unroot (Windows)**Updated**5/20** w/MR1 update

I’m not sure what to do next.

I went through the process and followed every instruction. It was all going good but in the second section of the process with the USB connected, it didn’t offer to “start update” like it did in the first section. So I rebooted. That gave me su, was able to install ROM manager and busybox, and the RootChecker app said I had root and busybox was installed successfully. But I couldn’t boot into recovery and when I tried it said “S-ON”. So I ran auto-unroot and tried the autoroot again. Now the bootloader says “MECHA XD ENG S-OFF, HBOOT-1.04.2000 (PG0510000), MICROP-/, RADIO-1.16.00.223r” but when I boot it up, don’t have su. I tried installing busybox and it won’t install.

When I boot into recovery when my phone is off, it doesn't go directly to the HBOOT. Instead it says very quickly:

SD checking
Loading...[PG05DIAG.zip]
No image!
Loading...[PG05DIAG.nbh]
No image or wrong image!
Loading...[PG05IMG.zip]
No image!
Loading...[PG05IMG.nbh]
No image or wrong image!
Loading...[nv.img]

and then it dumps me into the HBOOT screen. If I choose RECOVERY from this screen, the phone reboots and then I get a black screen with a red triangle and exclamation point through it. I then have to pull the battery to reboot it. ??

Just got the thunderbolt and I started auto root but it is getting stuck after pushing the first ruu. It pushes all the files ok but when I push any key to continue to the next step it just hangs there, any ideas what could be going wrong?

Can this be used if I am not rooted, but installed the mr2 update already? The reason is that Skype video won't work with mr2,so I need to downgrade to a version that is compatible with Skype video

try updating busybox from within titanium backup let me know if that helps.... you do this by hitting the PROBLEMS button on the bottom of titanium backup

Just got the thunderbolt and I started auto root but it is getting stuck after pushing the first ruu. It pushes all the files ok but when I push any key to continue to the next step it just hangs there, any ideas what could be going wrong?

so it gets past pushing RUU? or stuck on pushing RUU?

I dont have the TB anymore so i can not test it so im not sure but it should work downgrading you back to MR1....but dont hold me to that

It pushes the files but when I pressed enter to continue it just hung there and wouldn't go anywhere after that, it got past the psneuter and I verified the serial number showed up then stuck

When I try open titanium it says that it will not work without root, which I don't have.

try unrooting again,
then download the MR1 version from the OP of this thread and use that instead

Do you think I should unroot using the OP of this thread or the one on:

I'm not really sure it was successful because I never fully had root. It said S-ON the whole time. Then I ran autounroot and then autoroot again. I'll give it a try though.

there is a link there, i pulled auto unroot as depending on what you are running it can cause problems

I must be blind then because I do not see the download link for Auto UNRoot. Can you please link me to the download for Auto UNRoot? Thanks. :)
