Hahahahahaha.. I give you +5 for being so blunt. I stopped using his stuff out of principle on his violations of the gpl talked about in this thread.. I doubt anyone will give you links unless they PM them to you..

@ragnarokx, I tried google.. seems like androidcentral was pretty much the only public site he hosted his files in..

@gsf1200s, yeah that guy has been going around xda and causing problems as well even after being given a few chances.. As much as I don't like the guy, his work however gets the job done XD..

Note to all: posting or requesting links to Baked Snack is not allowed in this thread due to the GPL violation.

Baked Snack was never "hosted" at Android Central. He posted a thread here and provided links leading back to his files on his own site/server space. Once AC administration asked for him to comply with GPL rules and he didn't comply they removed any and all links to Baked Snack files/site.

Just figured I'd throw that in to clear any fog on that post....

The same petulant, childish behavior he displayed when approached about the issue multiple times on XDA. Hero_Over is a flagrant, repeated GPL abuser. This is nothing new.

WAIT this couldnt be! gpl and hero_over? stop messing with me guys.. cmon.. cant be true.. >.>

I have very little understanding of GPL, but I know hero_over doesn't follow it. What exactly is he not doing?

The GPL operates with the idea that software should be freely available, and that the source code should be free for others to view and use as they see fit so LONG AS THEY MAKE THEIR CODE FREELY AVAILABLE. Hero_Over routinely is on the receiving end of the GPL; he takes other peoples contributions and adds them into his ROMs saying "thanks" in his changelog. However, while he uses others code, he does NOT provide his code/tweaks for others to see (a requirement of both Android Central and XDA-developers forums). For all you know, he could be running scripts that spy on you- youd never know because he doesnt release the code (im not charging him with this- but it is possible). This is all freely available information on him (about GPL violations) found in the forums here and over at XDA.

Basically, he capitalizes off of others work, doesnt offer the same courtesy in return. Then, he requires a "donation" in order to get to his ROMs... No donation from me.

I love the word petulant!

Hero_Over having trouble getting on to your website to download v2.2. Still running v1.9 and need to know if there will be a problem with install (providing I can get v2.2). I have contributed by the way and thought Rom Manager would pick up the new versions, but it does not. Regards... Ray:cool:

You realize this is about a year outdated. Officially we're on Gingerbread (and have cm7). Unofficially we're on ICS (through cm9 and other AOSP roms).

lol, I'm kind of happy for the bump though. It was nice to remember this awesome yet controversial ROM.
