BAMF Forever 1.11 TEST.

Please look for fixes to:
--Slowness with included kernel.
--Sense 3.x call answer bug.

Things to check:
Data speeds on 4G.
Bluetooth connectivity.
Anything phone related.

Here is the link bro! I am waiting, with imo 5.1 kernal, mine is flawless. I may get it though after testing.

Im not seeing this anywhere either but was able to get it dl'd from the link. Can I just install over the 1.10 or am I gonna need to restore everything? Also, how is it running?

Post #87 on the last page has links to download it. Personally, I did a clean install coming from another ROM I was looking at... you might be able to wipe cache and dalvik cache, then install it... but if you have any issues then you will need to wipe data of course... and please make a backup before you start, just in case!!!

Just rooted last night using revolutionary, made a ti backup, forgot to update my text backup from a month ago :p, flashed this ROM, restored all the apps/data I wanted, and am now settling things the way I want. So far I'm very pleased.

Now what's this noise I hear about new radios? Does anyone know where to find the most stable, efficient radio out right now?

Check out the "Latest Radio's" link in my signature below. I've been using the radio's from the 2.11.605.3 RUU for the last couple months without issue on all the Gingerbread ROM's I've been look at (and I change ROMs about once a week, if not more often).

Sounds good. eHRPD hasn't been working since the gingerbread OTA. I've been using rev. A. Will a new radio fix the issue?

Also what's the purpose and benefit of flashing new radios and kernels rather than just ROMs? Do ROMs come with their own kernel?

Ah I just looked at the software versions in the menu. I know at least bamf forever has it's own kernel. I'll stick with that. I have the latest radio but like I said eHRPD doesn't work on it. I'll likely reflash it when I get a chance. I assume the LTE ROM also works with CDMA. My area is getting LTE in two weeks.

I am pretty new at this, but will tell ya what I know then let the experts chime in. Rom's come with kernals built in. However, sometimes a different kernal may work better with a rom than the one that is "baked" in. You do have to make sure the kernal you flash is able to be used with that specific rom. I have flashed Imo's 5.1.0 kernal on forever 1.10 and it is working well for me, but ADR is working on the included one, so I may go back when he finishes that.

I personally have not flashed new radios. I am using the lasted radios that were in the official update from verizon before I rooted. They are working fine and I don't have a good reason to flash new one's (thats just me though). From what I understand, you have to be careful flashing new radio's (which are not part of a custom rom). They have to match up exactly, be placed on the root of the sd card only. There is a really good stickied thread on that, and a really good video ( How To Flash Radios To The HTC Thunderbolt - YouTube ) about flashing radios. I have not been having eHRPD issues lately.

Hope that helps a little, like I said I am still really new at this. Experts please correct me if I misspoke. Thanks, Daniel

ROM's have their own kernels that are included in the ROM... I usually stick with the kernel that comes with the ROM figuring that the ROM was built around that kernel. Radio's are not included in the ROM unless you are flashing the full RUU ROM, which doesn't happen in any of the custom ROMs.

There are two radio version... you can flash and use any combination of LTE and CDMA radio's... that is why they are separated. I usually prefer to flash the same versions so you know what radio versions you have, so it's preferable to flash two radio files when you have change radio's... but again that is up to you.

How about OTA? As far as I know you can't use the pushed update when on a custom ROM. Does that mean the only way to use updated radios is to flash them? If so then I'll just wait for the next one/when I'm on LTE to flash.
