Battery Life on Nexus 4 after 4.3 update?

Guys. Sorry coming from a Z10. How can I create a screen screenshot on the Nexus 4? also by holding down both volume keys? Managing 2hrs 24mins with 8hrs 58mins without a charger and Google Now enabled plus screenbrightness to around 25%. Is that halfway decent?

While not scientific it seems my battery life has somewhat improved since the update to 4.3, though it is not a major improvement by any means.

What I will say is that it seems to drain less once the battery level decreases below 50%. Yesterday, I was using my phone fairly heavily and the battery drained down to 50% and after that it seemed to on its own (I was still using it approximately the same amount) to more efficiently use the battery as over the next hour it slowly drained down 46%.

No idea, could just be my own bias, but that is what I have routinely experienced since the 4.3 update.

Six months ago, I tried an app called Tweetcaster on my Nexus 4 and 7. It was nice but my battery life on both was cut in half. Found out it was this app doing it.

Now after all these months, I tried installing it again on both devices and again the battery life was cut in half. After 12 hrs on the Nexus 7 with 11 minutes screen time, battery was at 50%. Removed the app and the battery only lost a little over night. Sometimes it's an app causing problems and not the OS.

This resolved the battery drain for me. After 4.4 my nexus 4 battery consumption almost tripled. 4.4.2 didn't help either. Goto settings, security, device administrator. Uncheck device manager. Apparently the updates defaulted this configuration. After only 3 hours I could observe battery going down to 4.3 level. From 9% per hour, it's back to 2%+ per hour. This should drop below 2% after a few more hours. The battery was my only issue after 4.4. Hope this helps.

Cool will give that a try. Thanks for sharing.

If you uncheck Android Device Manager, you will not be able to wipe your phone if it is stolen.
