Battery Life on Nexus 4 after 4.3 update?

This is just for information - I have no doubt that some guys are having problems, but just to let you know, there must be a solution, because I allowed my phone to OTA update with no preparation, and my battery life is noticeably better than it was. Android OS services aren't running, nor is anything else eating my battery. Today, starting at 100% battery, I had 4 hours screen on time, 19 hours total uptime and had 25% of battery left after that. Definitely an improvement.

EDIT: Google Location Services are off.

Just as a follow up, this first picture are my wake locks with Location reporting off and location history on in Google Maps. Gnow is enabled.

The second picture are my wake locks with location reporting and history on in Maps. Gnow is enabled. Clearly maps is my battery drainer.

eronfaure, how much is your avg screen on time (from 100% to x% without partial charging)?

On 4.2.2 I used to get about 3 hours sot. Sometimes I'd be able to get 3.5 if I wasn't messing around with stuff. I haven't had a good run with 4,3 yet because if my problems with Maps so I will let you know.

Battery life after updating to 4.3 for me was pretty good. Easily got me through the day. No drains. Would've stayed with the stock kernel but the performance wasn't that great for me.

I'm running the latest Franco kernel and its smooth as hell. Surprisingly though, seems like battery life on stock was better. So far at least.

I could probably get that type of sot and uptime but I actually like having location services.

I am getting around 4 hour SoT on 4.3. For android device manager I had to switch on location services today. Will update later about battery performance on it.

This is on stock kernel? I was getting better battery life on stock but worse performance. On Franco kernel I get far better performance but worse overall battery life. Its somewhat worth it to change the display colors though but man. Wish I could get this type of battery life again.

Yes this is stock not even rooted :)
But my nexus is just 1-2 months old. The older the phone, the worse battery life. I guess.

Care to share the settings you are using?

Actually I haven't adjust many settings once I got this smartphone.
I'm using Auto Brightness. Turn off all vibration except calls. GPS on (including location report & history). Mobile data off (I turn on only when I'm outside and want to check my socials). Auto Sync on.

I also never let my battery fully drained (0%) and unplug charger when fully charged. Airplane mode is on when sleeping (no one ever calls me while i'm sleeping, forever alone).

If you want to know any specific settings you can ask me.

No. That will do. I think may reason is mobile data off as that drains a lot of battery with constant notifications.

Not bad at all. Do you have that WiFi always on feature on?

90% of the time Wifi is on since I'm at home.
I turn Wifi off and Data on when I'm outside.

Yes I think 3G data is a big drainer :)
