Since lollipop the battery suddenly drains and I discover that wi fi has somehow managed to turn itself on even though the settings shouldn't allow this. Anyone else having this problem? Any solution?

We're seeing a fair number of bugs with Android 5.0 on the Nexus 4. Let's hope that they'll be ironed out when 5.0.1 starts rolling out, which should be pretty soon, since it's hitting the 2013 Nexus 7 right now.

Go to Settings >WiFi > Advanced > Scanning always available >Turn it off
Your battery usage will be back to normal.

Strange, it fixed battery drain for me in 5.0. Sideloaded 5.0.1 update just now, will see if there any bug fixes and improvements with and without whifi scanning.
