Best app for note taking ( college student)

So I bought Nexus 7 ( without doing a lot of research about its note taking ability) and I need a good note taking app that does annotate PDF, write / draw with a stylus, and write text... any good ideas? I tried Evernote, I also tried Papyrus which is good, however no PDFs, and I tried many other apps.. they either don't have PDF or the "handwriting" ability...

any suggestions? and I'm willing to pay a ONE TIME FEE for a really good app for my classes...

Note: One of my professors already gives us notes, however his notes have blanks and the students need to fill them, they are in PDF format, and I need an app that will do that, I tried Adobe Reader, but it is not that great...

Thanks for these suggestion, I was thinking of an app that would also convert handwriting into text, basically an app like the NoteSuite my friend has on his Ipad... and which one do you prefer ( or better) Note Anytime or Lecture Note??

This one will be hard to find. I was looking on the play store the other day with no luck. When I had a TF101 and TF300T asus had an app called supernote. I don't think it will work unless you have an asus device but it could take whatever you drew and write it as text. I loved it. The galaxy note phone do it too. I did find SuperNote Pro on google play but it seems asus is charging a subscription for it. Not worth it.

What there needs to be is a keyboard that allows you to write cursive or notes and transcribe it as text. I like using evernote and keep and wouldn't give it up for supernote. That was one thing I really liked about the Note 8.0. You can do that on that tablet. But I still like my nexus 7 2013 better.

now does evernote or google keep allow you to annotate pdfs? because I have both of them, and I rather use them to sync with my dropbox or google drive, that would be so much better and easier... right now I'm using adobe reader, and I might start using note anytime, problem with Note Anytime is not having an option to sync with either dropbox or drive...

I can't quite make up by mind either! LectureNotes will output to PDF, whilst the Android version of Note Anytime doesn't yet (the iOS version does). LectureNotes will also save to Evernote. It is, however, quite complex to set up successfully, whereas Note Anytime is simple - it just works.

It has cross app functionality. Any app that pulls up a keyboard will use '7 notes' to convert handwriting into typed text.

You can also get a mazec extension to Note Anytime to enable handwriting recognition.

Xodo seems to fit the bill. Imports entire pdf (multiple pages at once). Edits are saved directly to original file in Dropbox with author. Multiple annotation sizes and colors plus comment bubbles and signatures. Also has some kind of file sharing feature, which I haven't tried out yet. No toggling or re-sizing during annotation and the the editing tab kind of blocks the slide in landscape view on my Galaxy Note 3. In portrait view the slides can get a little to small to annotate.
