This thread is nothing compared to the one on phandroid.***Official Galaxy Nexus Pre-Release thread***(LEAK:THURSDAY'S THE DAY, BABY! w00t!!) - Android Forums
Best buy can kiss my ass if they think I would return that phone. If they blacklist the phone they would get sued in a heartbeat.
This is completely and utterly false. Verizon has no way of bricking your phone besides deactivating your SIM, which then would just be as easy as going into another store and asking for a new mSIM. Most likely after deactivating the first SIM they will just mark the account as closed and move on, not even paying attention if you get a new SIM.
Those boys have got themselves pretty well convinced that preorders will start tonight at midnight eastern.
EDIT: The guy calling you like mad is probably begging for his job right now.
lmao - duh, my bad dude!I didn't fee like going ALLLLLLLLLLL the way back to the initial post to figure out the dude's name
But thanks for setting me straight. BTW, if you click refresh, it seems that someone is posting on this thread about every 10-20 seconds - friggin' awesome! I think someone said it earlier: "Epic."

They have been saying that for awhile though. Probably just another clueless csr.

26 minutes. . .Not that I care, I won't have the money til Wednesday and I'm gonna go to a store anyway. But let's watch. At least if it doesn't happen, the thread will be fun to watch.
Someone should hit the phandroid thread with "Jumper" lyrics after midnight.
Doesn't VZW do midnight pacific?
Just because it was said to you doesn't mean they can do that. I have a feeling it was either just to scare you or he meant he was going to deactivate your sim card.
Given that the situations are almost exactly the same I am inclined to take bworley50 at his word. In his case Moto gave the device before VZW approved it and in this case BB sold the device before VZW had approved the sale (worse they had actually issued instructions to NOT sell them). If there is something about the device that Verizon believes is detrimental to their network they WILL brick the device, and have every right to do so.

They cannot make the argument that the device is unauthorized when there are thousands upon thousands of the exact same device currently using the network. It doesn't matter if they are in consumer's hands or not.
