I had my wife call and they said "Verizon has pushed the date back to the 12th"... this doesn't necessarily mean that they will get them the 12th... But I'm hoping...

Some Best Buys are getting drop sipments in now, but the uniform response is they are not allowed to sell until the 12th. Not sure on status of 32gb and "some" is not good comfort considering how many BBs there are.
How do you know they are getting drop shipments in now? and if so, do you know if they would sell them before the 12th, or just hold the stock until Thursday?
I'm just getting a little worried. My wife and I are having to travel from Raleigh, NC to Kentucky this weekend for a wedding and I would love to have this phone for the ride.

I called just about every best buy. Target and Verizon store in my area yesterday. Some of the best buy locations say to call back today. Others say the 12th. Target... some locations had them but sold out. Verizon. Has them in stock but won't sell them until the 12th. Just call around. You may get lucky. Other than the preorders set in stone of course.
Personally I got tired of being on the phone with people that either didn't know the truth,didn't know what the phone is. Or didn't have a straight answer. I just called Verizon. Got the color and size I wanted and am having them ship it direct. Now the impatient waiting game.

I can't believe another Best Buy employee hasn't come forth with this. We received an internal memo on the 28th. I can tell you FOR A FACT, if you pre ordered the S III prior to June 28th you can keep your unlimited data. We have to call Verizon to have them manually add the Unlimited data back. (Our system will automatically switch you to a new plan.) In light of this news I have canceled my pre order with Verizon and will be picking up my pre order at my Best Buy store on.........we still don't know.
Hey razor what was the outcome on bb people keeping their unltd. Have you personally been able to do this yet. Or will we have to wait to see until the 12.
So I have phenomenal news, just got off he phone with my best buy store, she confirmed what bb employee razortaz18 was saying. She read me word for word the document that was sent from Verizon to best buy employee news. It specifically stated "best buy customers who pre ordered Verizon galaxy s3's before June 28 through best buy and CURRENTLY have unlimited data plans WILL have the option of being grandfathered in to keep unlimited. Before activation verizon cs will be verifying customers bb pre order dates were before june 28 ." And the document also stated pre order shipments will in fact begin releasing in best buy stores "July 12." the girl told me the publish date for that news release was July 9, yesterday. So if any of you get your phones on thursday and the reps give you some bs excuse saying you can't keep unlimited, have them reference their best buy employee news letter from verizon dated july 9.To me that info seems pretty up to date, let's cross our fingers. Calling different stores, but the two that matter (where I live) do not have them in stock yet. Starting to doubt I will see my 32gb this week. Absolutely the last time I preorder from Best Buy. All stated 12th is when can sell them, if they have them.

and they had all the stickers and booth setup, but no phone, just an empty docking station, I really felt like trolling the bb employee asking her when it was coming out etc, if anyone has gotten it. But decided to be nice and just leave

We will be able to keep unlimited. There are now multiple posts in "employee news" stating this. We will have to wait until the 12th for the phone. Our inventory system shows NO STORES HAVE ANY VERIZON S III as of 5 pm today. Also something odd I noticed, both 16gb and the white 32GB show as some amount(about 5) "on order" in our system. The blue 32GB shows 0 "on order" and "not carried by location" for every store.

Best Buy better sell me my phone soon! I leave for vacation in a couple days and expected to have my new phone. I'd hate for my phone to arrive and then just have to leave it sitting in Best Buy waiting for me.

Guy on androidforums stated that he got his email at 9:00 am (Central Time) from best buy in Indiana stating that his preorder will be ready for pick up tomorrow!
I just got my email this morning at about 930, that myorder will be ready for pick up tomorrow morning (Valparaiso IN) ....it was so hard to not keep my Verizon pre order (I sold it on Ebay), so I've been impatiently checking my email every 30 minutes

No love for PA either. Apparently Best Buy only loves Indiana and Illinois...watch, next someone from Iowa will get their email. It's just the "I" states.
Got my email earlier this morning too. Eastpointe Michigan.
