Hey man check your DMs I just sent you one, I also live in Raleigh NC and have it preordered at BB waiting!!
A fellow geek (small world) in the area said they are telling him 7/10 and none in stock ATM, but if they did get them before 7/10, pre-orders got them first.
lol, I am sure that Verizon will just reinstate anyone's unlimited data cause some Best Buy employee called them and asked them to. Sounds like a flawless plan.
I just walked out of bb & the rep I talked to seemed pretty informed. She said at this point they have not received any Verizon pre orders and at this time they do not have permission from Verizon to release any gs3's before the release date of the 10. However she did say that best buy could receive a drop shipment any given day in which case they "may" get the go ahead to start fulfilling pre orders. But that could only happen if Verizon gave them authorization to do so. P.s. they get a daily newsletter from corporate that will update them on the situation if they were to get early pre orders. She also informed me that unfortunately razortazz is mistaken and cannot go through his supposed steps to have unlimited reinstated. Unless of course you know the CEO or something crazy :-!

The document stating the steps to keep unlimited data is posted in our "employee news" for all employees to see. I'm still really surprised I'm the only employee to come forth with it. I honestly could care less if anyone believes me. All I know is I'm keeping my unlimited data. Last month I used almost 50gb. I can't afford to lose it. I had a pre order with Best Buy and Verizon. When I saw the document I canceled my order with Verizon. I have a gift card to BB and the warranty is better.

I was at a store today in the Chicago suburbs, and they said they have them in stock but can't sell them until Tuesday the 10th. I didn't ask about the unlimited, because I am afraid I am going to lose mine and I don't want to know that yet.
Now that's the best news that I have heard all day. As long as Best Buy has them by the 14th, and I'll be a happy camper. If not I will have to make the decision to either stick with the RAZR Maxx or the Dinc4G or the GNex.

I too dropped in my Best Buy where I preordered my phone. I spoke with the very nice and knowledgable gentleman that helped me and told me how I'd keep my UNLD. I asked if they had any info on an ETA. he said that while they don't have their shipment in yet, they're being told they'd have them ready to go by the 10th. He did say it's *POSSIBLE* that their preorders may come in early, and if so, I'd get that email, then a phone call.
While I'd LOVE to have mine by the weekend, I can wait until Tuesday!

I have full confidence that I'll keep my unlimited data too, judging from what my BB rep told me.
Razortaz, it's not that I don't believe you, it's just the fact that you're one person vs. at least half a dozen bb reps an d Verizon csr's saying otherwise. I'll give you $5 if you can come to my store and educate myself and unlearned bb reps to the ways of the force.

A couple weeks ago I had a verizon rep at *611 tell me that they are able to override it and put the unlimited back on if it was pre ordered before June 28th. He claimed he put a note on my account stating that he told me this. I guess we will find out Tuesday...
This is getting a little ridiculous. Their lips are even more sealed than Verizon. Are they just being hush hush or dumb dumb?
I called the customer service phone number today and the woman wasn't able to tell me a thing. Super frustrating.

I stopped in at Best Buy today to check on my S3 order and was told they were not allowed to sell any S3 phones until July 10. He said that the S3 was not at the store yet but he HOPED they would be there by the 10th!
It may not matter to me since the S3 boot loader is locked. If it stays locked I'll be keeping my GNex.

Agree completely. No root on GS3 is a dealbreaker. Sure they'll get it, but in no rush.
According to the mods at BBM.com and a few different stores across the USA...you ain't getting squat before July 10...whether they have them in stock or not.

Ahhh, nothing quite like pre-ordering a phone and then getting it the same day you can walk right up to a counter and purchase it without waiting... The logic in this is quite magical.... Good thing Best Buy had that deal back in Feb. where you can get $50 off a phone if you signed up and purchased a new phone by 2013... otherwise, I don't see any other reason (besides the protection plan) to purchase from Best Buy... I just feel a little cheated knowing that I rushed to the store to be one of the first people to pre-order the phone on 06/05 and still get the phone the same day as anyone else walking in from the street... but who knows.. they may still surprise us.
