Best Buy Preorders Any News?

the best buy where I live (fort Smith, ar)called me and said they got some pebble blue ones in today and asked if I would rather have that instead of white... Already been waiting and since I've waited this long it is close to my next bill cycle I'm gonna hold out for white and not have all this prorated crap on the next bill

I cancelled bestbuy preorder today I'm so sick of the employees not knowing anything. Ordered thru AT&T online at 2:00 pm and i have not received a shipping notice and also there was no overnight shipping option either it said 2 day air but I was wondering if they just upgrade you to overnight because on the forums people have been saying ordered mine online last night already shipping out will be here tomorrow. Sometimes I wonder if there just full of crap

hey man, i did my order over the phone through att and they gave me the option of standard or overnight delivery. she ended up just giving me the overnight for free. this was yesterday and I already got the phone.

Yeah I even called back and said I want overnight shipping on my order and she said she couldn't do that so I don't man I just hope I get my phone Saturday but like I said I ordered it 7 hours ago and still says processing

I originally ordered the S3 for Sprint and actually got it in at Best Buy on 6/21, but decided to switch to AT&T. So hopefully I don't regret my decision, because Best Buy is really getting on my nerves. If it wasn't for my $170 in gift cards I would have ordered somewhere else.

You might want to check the actual tracking number. I ordered yesterday (6/28) my order now says it was shipped 6/27 and when I track my actual tracking number it says "A UPS shipping label has been created. Once the shipment arrives at our facility, the tracking status--including the scheduled delivery date--will be updated."

Quite confusing. I'm just going to keep checking my UPS tracking number. I'm hoping I get mine before July 4th.

lady on phone presented me with both options but gave me the free over night, a $50 credit on my account and the phone for free. feel like i hit the lotto. But sense they sent it to wrong address i will not have it today, but I am not complaining.

well the $50 credit came when i first called to make the order, then when i realized they sent to wrong address i called back and they comped the phone for me. this happened wednesday, the phone is on the truck right now in rout to my door.

Yes but order ONLINE! I can't stress this enough. Don't call, don't go in the store. People having the most success are doing it online directly. Good luck ladies and gents. Good advice btw, pnizz.

I ordered in-store Tuesday and it was shipped overnight and received in less than 24hrs. Didn't have to pay shipping either just tax.

Ordered phone yesterday from Best Buy online. Had estimated ship date of 2-3 July. Later in the day yesterday, status changed to backorder. Called BBY customer care today and they told me it will be a week or two before i get the phone. Called my local 2 Best Buy store when they opened and both stores are carrying the phone. 1 store said they can't sell due to legal issues, another store said they are only giving out store pre-orders. Called BBY customer care again to see if i can change my order to store pick up. They call the local best buy for me. The local best buy tells the customer care guy that they can't sell the phone due to legal issues with Apple. Said i will just have to wait till it's resolved. I'm confused.

The AT&T employee helping me out yesterday also said the holdup was also due to legal issues with Apple. I'd say order through AT&T my phone was ordered yesterday and has already shipped, so that seems to be your best bet.

Weren't the legal issues with Apple resolved? I know there was a hearing on the 23rd, but I didn't hear any further information. Anyway, I went to Best Buy again yesterday, and the guy told me AT&T isn't supposed to sell them before the launch date. I told him people had been ordering the phone from both AT&T and BB all week, and he just shrugged his shoulders like I was the one BSing him. This whole thing is so infuriating.
