Best Buy Preorders?

I got 2 EVOs and got $50 for each... they had a sign put about the EVO and had the $50 gift cert. listed.

They still have it listed on their website, may be you can argue with that.

Thanks! My question wasn't regarding the $50,they applied that directly to the phone so I should be paying $150. My question was about communications with BB. I pre-ordered last night, but didn't get an e-mail confirming that I pre-ordered. When I spoke with mobile this morning they said that was normal and that the only e-mail I would receive is when its ready for pick-up and purchase. Seeing as there's been no communication today, I'm assuming the store I pre-ordered at didn't have any extras in yesterday... the wait continues.

I did not get an e-mail confirmation when I placed my pre-order, FWIW.

I pre-ordered last night and I received the pre-order conformation email as soon as the salesman asked for my email address. I havent received any calls or emails to pick up the phone tho. They said they had phones in stock but they are already reserved for. I was told once they received another shipment in they would send me an email saying that it was available for pickup.

Just (finally) got my tracking information.

I ordered on the 7th, around 1:00pm, and fixed the problem with my order yesterday around 4:00pm.

Of course, it's shipped UPS Ground, so I won't get it until Tuesday, but at least I know now.

Update: tracking was updated, and it's scheduled for delivery on Wednesday. Nice.

Were you a pre-order? If so....when? Also...is your phone from that BB's first shipment or have they received multiple shipments?

Mine said it would ship within one to two days. It shipped the next day.
 
My order has said "ships in 1-2 business days" since Thursday. I pre-ordered on the 8th and I am starting to lose patience as I read that others are receiving tracking numbers and phones.
 
No1tech you need to be the squeaky wheel. Call and/or go to the store...repeatedly.

Make them sick of seeing you lol You'll get the first one they get

Mine said that for two days with no change. After getting tired of waiting, I called customer service to see what was going on. The rep didn't really say anything useful, just that it was ready to ship. Within 5 minutes of getting off the phone, though, I get an email with a tracking number. Coincidence?

I would call.....I think there's some glitch they need to clear up before it ships.

Give me a break. I preordered mine on the *7th* at a Best Buy store and still don't have mine.

It makes absolutely no difference. Trust me- I am speaking from very frustrating experience :(
 
Now that blows donkey.

What blows more is that the store got the preorder (but apparently not enough) shipments on THURSDAY. So I could not get it Thursday, Friday, nor Today (Saturday). And since no more shipments, that also means nor Sunday, nor Monday, and likely not Tuesday. So, as a day-one preordering customer, I am likely going to be delayed another week longer than many people who weren't even day one.

Interesting... Just preordered at bb and told next shipment Tuesday and Friday and not a lot of pre ordered... Crossing my fingers... Will see who gets stock first and my business....

Not sure what happened with mine. But I preordered kind of late (the 15th) and got and email from Bestbuy saying they had my order this past Thursday.

Perhaps there where not a lot of preorders where I got mine.

But interestingly enough. I also preordered one with a Sprint store for back up. And they still have yet to get any.

I hope whoever here is waiting for there device gets it soon. Because it is simply amazing. And be patient and don't cancel your preorder. Trust me it is worth the wait.

FWIW, I got the exact same deal from BB. I pre-ordered on the 12th and got mine on Thursday 5/24 as part of the first shipment they received. I didn't wait for them to call or email me, I was calling them every hour to check. I was the 2nd activation from the initial shipment! I got my "offical" notification email to come pick up my EVO 3hrs after it was already activated on my line! I wasn't going to wait around for them to tell me they didn't get enough inventory in to cover all the pre-orders! They were a little peev'd that I came in before they contacted me, but oh well, I walked out with my new EVO and that's all that matters!
