Best cases for Google Pixel 2

I've never used a Speck case... are the button on the side easy to push? I've always used a Otterbox Commuter as a case for every phone I've had but the buttons are so hard to push with it.

Buttons easy to push. I like the Speck Grip but they changed it about a year ago, grip ridges not the same but still good. Nice rubbery feel, not huge, but you can tell when you put it on it will protect well. Check them out at the VZ store, maybe you or the sales person has a phone you can out one on as it seems they make them for most current models

Spigen, i-Blason and Supcase are the cases I always turn to

And if you don't want to faff with screen protectors, the i-Blason and Supcase offerings usually have rugged cases that have built in protectors and they work really well IMO

But for a light case, I'd go Spigen and use with a tempered glass screen protector

I have had a Spigen Rugged Armor on my XL since day 1. Since it will not release until after I get my phone (should have the 64 GB XL by the 19th or 20th of October) I just bought a Caseology Vault. Just had to watch a youtube video that shows the Vault and Rugged Armor are basically the same thing with minor cosmetic differences.

I'll probably go with a Spigen thin fit. i wish there was an ultra thin case that would fit over a skin

I've always liked Diztronic's TPU cases. They're not thick, they're flat (non glossy), and minimal (often hard to even find it) branding, and button feel is always great. I just checked their website, and no Pixel 2. yet. (Actually, original Pixels aren't even listed, but I know they definitely made them.)

I agree with this. That is what I use one my current Pixel, and you are correct about the website, it's not updated.

I always use Tech21, but I am not a fan of the EVO Check cases after having it on my XL.
I'll jump ship if they only make the EVO Mesh/Check case (already on their website). I want the tactical - that thing is boss.

My two favourite cases are the Spigen Thin Fit and the Nillkin Frosted Shield - both are thin and grippy. The Nillkin has a textured back too. It looks like the Spigen is out on 31 October and no sign of the Nillkin - I emailed them but no reply yet. I bought a cheap clear plastic case to use as soon as the phone comes out of the box just so I have something. My Nexus 5 never saw a case - I loved the cheap plastic black to that phone, especially the red one I had. It didn't feel precious - but recent phones need protecting so much more.

How thick is the Parrallax. Nice case, but I like as slim as I can get. Using one that is 3/8ths inch from Spigen on my XL

I'll start off with a UAG and Spigen which have always been my favorites. I just need to decide on a screen protector.

Well I've narrowed down my cases to either the Incipio Carnaby Esquire series or the Google fabric cases. Now I just need to get a screen protector.

I too like the Spigen and I placed order on Amazon but it is not being delivered until November, a good 2 weeks after my phone arrives.

I love the Google fabric cases, so I'll probably get one of those. Does anyone know if Google's accessories are available at retailers other than Google?

I'll probably ditch the case at some point, though. I never use cases for my phones. I'm still caseless with my 6s Plus and I haven't broken it or anything.

Those Google fabric cases sure look nice but I want to have my orange button and I'm not sure I can handle the "midnight" case. It's a bit busy lol

I didn't like the gold finish so I went with the gray.. I usually go for cases with the buttons cut out but I really like this case on my Pixel so I thought I'd stay with it

The best part about these is you can swap the parts from one to the other. I ordered the blue and gray one and will run the blue with the silver border from the gray.

But then I pay twice as much. Not happening. I'll suffer with the gray till I find something better
