Best cases for Google Pixel 2

I put my last 4 phones ins Spigen cases, they are top notch.

For what you described, you would want to probably look at the Rugged armor: https://www.spigen.com/collections/google-pixel-2/products/google-pixel-2-xl-case-rugged-armor

It has the full lip and while it's not the thinnest profile you can get the added bulk is minimal. I had one on my nexus 6p, which was also already a pretty big phone, and found it to be the ideal compromise of slim design yet some drop protection.

Im leaning toward getting it for myself again with the 2XL, but im still on the fence between that case and:

this clear case:

and the case I currently have on my 1st gen smaller pixel:

^ - This case I feel would be bulky for a phone of this size but I REALLY love the kickstand setup. I use it all the time on lunch breaks and I know I would miss not having one.

Is the rugged armor thinner than the neo-hybrid?

I wish they listed size specs on the site.

In my experience yes. The neo hybrid is a dual layer case and that makes the case thicker around the edges. It may be marginal, like maybe a millimeter or two, but definitely thicker

Woohoo. There will be UAG for Pixel 2's.

Anyone have any experience with the rhino shield cases? I think they leave the back exposed right? how durable are they if your phone happens to drop?

Can anyone confirm if those Google fabric cases protects the whole entire bottom? From the pics it doesn't look like it.

Here's what I got from Caseology re: The Parallax

Looks perfect for me, .04" thick, vs .33 for the XL. Looks good and APPEARS protective. That, well, we'll see.....

How about grippy cases? What are the best cases for added grip? But without adding too much bulk :)

I ordered a Google Artworks case. Reckon this will look really nice on a black Pixel! I only want protection against scratches, so ordered the thin version.

How about that! They don't show up on Caseology's own website yet. Thanks!

Oh, and there's a 20% off promotion for those cases on Amazon -- click on the Applicable Promotions menu, and click Redeem for that promotion.

Outstanding deal. It was $8 shipped to my house from amazon.

But... will it “squeeze?”

My Stone leather case from Google store shipped yesterday. Should receive it next week, will post pics once I receive it.

Also ordered the fabric case from Google which I'll be receiving late October.

Update:

Hello,

Thank you for your inquiry. We will indeed be making a case for the smaller Pixel 2 phone. They will be ready to go at the end of October or possibly early November. We are still unsure if we will make a case for the Pixel 2 XL. It will depend largely on the number of requests we get for it, but I will forward your request onto the owner of the company.

Regards,
Lindsay

Are they kidding? The number of requests for it? People will buy something else.
