+1 for Spigen, although I went with the Tech21 clear one to see how it compares.

I loved the commuters I had for my HTC's and I had the Symmetry which I loved for my 7 edge but than I read they weren't as good for the Note 8. But if I sell my Note 8 and get the Lilac 9+ I may want to try the Symmetry again. I want a clear case to show off the color. I bought a casemate for my Note 8 returned it and now use a Spigen with a kickstand but the same clear one was cheaper on Amazon I bought the rose gold glitter one directly from Spigen and like it ok.

I ordered the trusty Otterbox Defender for my wife's S9+. I have an Otterbox Commuter on my S8+ and also on my 2 phones prior to that. I've dropped multiple phones from different heights using Defenders and Commuters over the years and never had a cracked screen or major damage to a device. They may cost more than the cheap Amazon cases but the piece of mind is worth it to me.

I have a similar case for my Note8 got it from Spigen directly it wasn't on Amazon cause I got the Rose Gold with glitter on the back and a kickstand I like it ok but if the Otterbox Symmetry is good for the 9 plus I may go back to it. Trying to sell my Note 8 for a 9 +

Spigen Ultra Hybrid S in clear. Hard back, with TPU around the edge. I also really like the kickstand.

Any good suggestions for an S9+ case that has a separate, distinctive cutout for the fingerprint sensor? Even though it's now more centrally located, I still find myself hitting the camera lens when searching for the sensor. I don't want anything too bulky either. Thanks

I am hands down picking the Otterbox Symmetry case in black as the best case I've ever used to go with my midnight black S9+

I got the black version at Best Buy. Fave case so far.

I temporarily went with the spigen thin fit in black. Definitely some areas especially around the buttons that are more vulnerable to drops.

I might upgrade to something more sturdy. This was $12 on Amazon and definitely very minimalist

This is my favorite case, it fits perfectly with the white stone dome tempered glass screen protector and looks great. I've had this for every phone for about 3 years now. Love it!

I've never used a RhinoShield bumper, but I do have their Impact Protection screen protector on my Nexus 6P with the Speck CandyShell Grip case. That combo has saved my phone a number of times, including a face first drop on concrete. The device itself is in pristine condition.

I'm hoping Evolutive Labs has their Impact Protection screen protector available for the S9+, cause this one has sold me. I'd rather use it than tempered glass that won't offer full coverage, or affects touch response. I still haven't found one TGSP that completely works on Samsung phones that has good reviews, since I was considering the Note 8 before.

Yet the white stone dome, best tgsp I've used. Pricey, but it's worth it, never had a problem with it and the protection, clarity, and coverage are perfect

i just picked up the samsung rugged cover in silver from best buy tonight, wanted the black one, but they don't carry it. so far, i'm happy with it. i was used to carrying my old s7 in an old blackberry holster because it's nice and slim. i bought an otterbox defender the same day i got my s9, but it started getting in the way. so i started searching for the rugged case and it fits the blackberry holster just as good as the s7 did. so now i can keep the otterbox as a backup

I got this at Bestbuy, Rugged Protective Cover. I like it a lot but it makes the phone a lot heavier. I feel if I drop it, if it doesn't crack, the synthesizer would still get all messed up.









I got this cheap one on ebay.

The black Samsung case looks nice, but the silver one is growing on me. Granted, it's not as rugged as the otterbox, but it works for me. Plus I found with the otterbox, that if you didn't put the phone in at just the right angle, the phone wouldn't lock in. With the Samsung case, it's damn near a perfect fit in the blackberry PRIV holster that i had when I used that phone
