Best Cases for the Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+

I'm looking to get the S9+ on Black Friday weekend in Nov. I've seen comments on the Whitestone. After seeing some reviews, I like it.

Do you also have a case on your phone?

Yep, I use several(as pictured above) & all have been compatible with Whitestone. Imo it's the best domed glass screen protector available... If installed properly it's just like the original screen.

Thank you. I've been on the mobile app alot this week due to us camping for Spring Break, so I don't see all the pictures that are posted. I'll be back on the tablet very shortly to check out the pictures.

Any good suggestions for an S9+ case that has a separate, distinctive cutout for the fingerprint sensor? Even though it's now more centrally located, I still find myself hitting the camera lens when searching for the sensor. I don't want anything too bulky either. Thanks

A Samsung silicone case would check all your boxes!

No worries... Enjoy spring break!

I'm still rocking the incuded clear case. It actually feels really good and a bit bouncy and thick. Now I'm debating on whether to just buy a Neoflex for this or still wait for the Spigen Thinfit 360.

Don't buy the neoflex. I did and I did not like it at all. It is very soft and it has a rubbery feel. Also any soft tap with your finger nails will leave a dent in it.

The Lifeproof case is really nice and if you are looking for something a bit wider this is perfect. Ports are nicely covered and buttons are easy to push. Very thin profile too. The clear back shows off the phone color. Worth the price I think as nothing could be more durable than this thing.
I found this one on Amazon. I think it's like a Lifeproof, but more affordable. Covers the whole phone. I use it to wirelessly charge too! No issues with touch sensitivity.

I'm going with the Speck Presidio grip case for everyday work stuff. Love the grippy lines on the back and the snug fit. Dropped it twice already onto the hardwood floors from 3 and 4ft with no damage.

2nd case is the Spigen Neo Hybrid for a slimmer style case but it's taller and wider than the Speck Presidio case is so it might go back.

3rd case is the Ringke [Onyx] Brushed Meta Slightly smaller than the Speck and slimmer. I use this case most of the time as I can slide it in my back pocket a lot easier than the Speck.

Next I'll be looking for a really thin case, like just a shell that snaps on.

Does a case exist that rises high above the side edges? Not a 360 full cover case, just a case that protects the sides better?

OMG! I'm excited sold my Note got to get the S9 plus on Sunday. Best Buy was out of this smart things kit which was free with purchase so they offered me a free case. I liked this one the girl waiting on me had on her S9 Tech21 it was Orchid on her lilac phone. Is Tech21 good? I have never had that brand before but they were out of it :-( and I am caseless till Thursday. I used to love Otterbox Symmetry but their clear one was hard and made it too bulky I thought. And on my Note 8 I had to return a Casemaste that I didn't care for. I really wanted a case to show off the color of my phone.

But I ordered one to hold me over that's coming tomorrow off Amazon cause the Best Buy one hasn't even shipped yet and it was cheap 8 bucks but it has purple hearts floating on the back and got all great reviews so will see. But I really want a case with the round circle ring but I want it to be a good brand and have good protection. I don't want popsocket and I saw some cases with the built in ring on Amazon that said works with wireless charging which is what I need. Any suggestions I like holding my phone with the ring and being able to use it as a kickstand. Thanks!

Edit: Gonna try to attach these 2 cases Tech 21 one orchid from BB and the floating heart one from Amazon.

Tech21 makes very nice cases and I have heard nothing but good stuff about them. Not sure how "drop protective" the floating circle one is, most likely a no name cheap brand so be careful. It is very cool though watching all the stuff float around.

I've been going back and forth between wanting my sleek, stylish and slim Caseology Skyfall case that looks amazing and feels great, and my Lifeproof Next case which is much more protective but adds width to my S9+ that I don't care for.

I went running tonight and decided to use the Caseology case because it's slimmer. I took my phone out of my pocket at one point and fumbled it. It did not fall because I was able to hang onto it, but as soon as I got home I immediately put the Lifeproof back on and I'm never taking it off again! Was like seeing my life flash before my eyes...lol

X-Doria Defense Lux is one case with squared off edges and sides. Solid construction, good protection and a premium look. I got the carbon fiber version and love the feel. The beveled aluminum frame adds a little heft but it's a sleek look at the same time. X-Doria also makes the Defense shield with a clear back but the same aluminum frame and squared off sides if you don't like the look of the leather or carbon fiber cases.

Oh good Thanks! Yes Tech 21 will be my main go to case but I think it's scheduled tomorrow and this floating circle one will come today which I was hoping here soon before I left for work but doesn't look like it. It did get lots of 5 star reviews though on Amazon. What I really would like to have but I haven't found a good one is a ring kickstand case with a built in ring to hold your phone that is also a kickstand. But I have heard tech 21 is good and it was free and cost 45 so that tells me it should be good. Sometimes I think the cheap ones on Amazon don't protect well but sometimes their are really good ones that do.

Ever since I went with a flip case in 2016 - I have never looked back. I love the convenience of being able to take my phone out of the case when not carrying it around. This one in particular is the best case I have owned yet, phone fits snug inside.
