Just got Xposed installed the other day, could any suggest the best modules to download? Especially ones that will help with batter life and result in an extended SOT 😊

Thanks!

Amplify (limit wakelocks)
AMP+ (customize power menu)
Crappalinks
Custom share
Xtended Navbar
YouTube Adaway
YouTube background playback

There are other great Xposed modules, but these are the ones I like that work on Lollipop.

G3TweaksBox is probably the most useful for your phone.

AppSettings is terrific for customizing specific settings for individual apps.

EDIT: I guess since you're on a 5.0-based ROM, you won't have too much success with G3TweaksBox as I don't think it's supported for that.

Will i work with the ROM I'm running? If i remember correctly, last time i downloaded it it said it wasn't compatible with the ROM I'm running.

No, sorry. Missed that you were using that ROM.

It's alright, appreciate your reply tho. But a quick question, i saw on a different post that you had a very good SOT (about 6 or 7 hours if i remember). Would you mind sharing what your did to get it that high? I'm lucky if i can get 3 hours.

That was on Hello Jasmine 3.0 (KitKat) running SkyDragon kernel and Amplify/Greenify.

I am currently on Dirty Unicorns 9.1 (AOSP Lollipop) with just Greenify. I haven't had the chance to really test the battery but easily getting about 5 hours SOT from what I have seen.

I have amplify running although i have no idea how to use it so i haven't messed with it at all really, and i posted a screenshot of what I've done so far with Greenify. Any suggestions on what i can do to try to get about 3 hours SOT?

You might have some other apps draining your battery. Can you get a list of things running? Try getting Gsam battery app to see more details about the app usage for battery.

Just installed it so I'll give it a day or so to calculate and come back tomorrow with a list

These are the Xposed modules for best battery life and as always donations get more features.
Greenify, DS Battery Saver, Wakelock Terminator, Battery Saver by Gejos Enterprise, ReceiverStop and BootManager.

These are the types of apps/modules I use to get 8 hours SOT. (3850mah)

Also WakeLock Detector in the play store will show you what is keeping your device awake.

Unless you don't use your phone very often, wakelocks are not going to save you too much battery life within an entire day. Sure, losing 1% an hour while idle is a lot worse than .25% an hour, but the real battery savings will come down to brightness management and CPU/GPU clocking and governors. This is where kernel tweaks come into play with Faux123 (formerly FauxClock).

Here's some results just from a normal day. Unplugged at about 6:30 a.m and I'm at about 37% by 2:30 with only 1h 25m of SOT. Any idea what's going on?

Hmm, that is very strange. I can't see anything too obvious that would point to an app causing this much drain. Are you on WiFi most of the time, and is the signal weak or strong? A weak WiFi signal will drain the phone fast without you getting accurate statistics on it.

You might have a bad battery? I guess you can't rule that out, unless you have a backup from a stock image you can restore to see if the battery life is normal, or swap batteries if you have a spare.

When at school all day i keep airplane mode on while using wifi. I do have another battery that i can try out tho. I guess I'll try that and see what kind of results i get tomorrow.

Why airplane mode if you're using WiFi? How is the school's WiFi? Strong pretty much everywhere?

I use airplane because i have 0 signal everywhere inside the school. The wifi is strong pretty much all throughout the building as well.

If you have a bad signal then the phone is working harder and using the battery more looking for a better cell tower.
Leaving it in airplane mode will save battery, I have mine to switch into airplane mode at 3am and switch back at 8am.
