I'm sure it varies store to store. At my store they had me make an appointment at the time I pre-ordered. I'm going in at 9 on Friday.

Stoped by BB there going to credit my 10% coupon for in store purchase only on my online purchase becouse its not being delivered until the 15th.
This will take the price down to $826 pretty happy about that.
BB does stand behind there products.
Also saw the local ups guy he said he's tired of phone deliveries

They did ask me check the fine print and it says carrier phones only not valad, im none carrier unlocked as stated before , was told just to bring my receipt and coupon in on Friday or latter for the Credit

Decided to stop in my local store, to see when they open on Friday. Was told they're opening early at 8AM. So while I haven't gotten an e-mail to set up an appointment yet, I just said I'd be there at open to get my Note 8.

Tracking the Apple event right now and I see preorders for the new watch go live on Sept 15th as well. They haven't gotten to talking about the phones yet but I'm willing to bet those preorders will also go live on Sept 15th. Hope BB isn't a madhouse (but I bet it will be).

Im sure its probably because your choosing unlocked vs carrier.

yeah. except that it's not a phone for me. I never call anyone and they never call me. I use about 15 minutes a month max, if that, and mainly use text and the other attributes. it's a computer and a hell of a business tool. phones are so yesterday.

He just said when I come to pick it up I order the free stuff through an app on my new phone. Did this really work?

Yep. Once you get your phone. Open the shop samsung app and click on promotions. Then just follow the steps to claim your gift.

They dont have enought to fill preorders demand was higher than expected, there filling them as stock comes in! My guess anyway

I think you are right. I called Best Buy again today and they said the Unlocked Orchid Gray is definitely backordered. But the customer service rep insisted that the black one wasn't. I also called Best Buy credit service since I charged mine on their card. They said the charge was approved, but pending since in hadn't shipped, yet.

But as of 4.45PM EST, my order still hasn't shipped. I don't think they have enough and are just hoping and praying they get some more in.

I just called a Best Buy store near me and tried to find out if they will have the Unlocked version of the phone in the store on September 15, and she said "they won't know until the release date" and that "they're not allowed to tell the customers until that date." That is so crazy!!! But I'm going to call a few more stores.

No, I was just wondering how that would work for BB in store buyers. I'm just waltzing into Att Friday to get an orchid grey. I'm down with black too though. I just want a N8. I'd take orange if that's all they had.
