BestBuy: Galaxy Note 8 Pre-Order Thread

I live in middle Tennessee. Well, my Aug.24 preorder set in Memphis for a day or two. Then, last night it went right past me to East Tennessee! Next stop....Louisville? Atlanta? Los Angeles? Sparta? ??????

What carrier are you on?

Yea I did the same thing, I pre-ordered on the first day and was set up for in store pick up. All these other carriers with tracking saying they are getting their phones next week makes me wonder if BB will get them and sit on them until the 15th or so. My local best buy said they are going to set people up to come in to get the phones at set times so they don't have everyone show up at once.

I called and asked that. Spoke to different people. They all said they are getting the phone on the 15th to give out to customers. Everyone we are seeing on this thread and others getting their phone on Tuesday didn't order through Best Buy. I'm not going to complain. I'll wait, $150 off plus an additional $240, is a good deal! I guess I'll just be waiting until the 15th. They haven't told me anything about setting up appointments and such for people.

That's also good insurance if there are any major problems most likely not ,your not committed

So.... I didn't preorder immediately and now Best Buy says that the order is expected to ship on the 29th.....

Wouldn't it be better to just buy in store on the 15th if that's the case?

Even Samsung's website says week of October 1st. Yikes!

That might mean they are on back order now.

Now this I didn't realize you could check (I guess because we've never ordered this way before). We're getting a few notes with Verizon in our family. The one being preorderd through Best Buy shows up processing on Verizon's order section with the 32.75 payment (before trade in of course) while the Note preordered through Verizon shows the 40.00 payment.

I mean damn, there's the 150.00 thrown right in your face. Hmm. May have to cancel with Verizon and do 2nd through Best Buy as well.

That's interesting. I never though to check verizon's. I do see my order as processing but do not see the monthly payment. Where do you see that at?

I found that if you go to my orders in my verizon it shows as processing. So after you login hover over my verizon, then my devices then my orders Although not sure it will be much help as i ordered a S8+ from best buy last month and it still shows processing on verizons site. The phone was an in store pickup and picked up like an hour later

That's for those that are set for in-store pickup. Many others ordered phones to be shipped to their homes. It's a different process. It's unlikely BB will sit on phones, if they are in their warehouse, that are just going to be shipped out. We'll just have to wait and see.

Mine shows up as processing and mine is set to ship to my house. I however do not think any useful info will come of it other then processing.

Good catch! I did it from the web and it did not show it but when i tried it your way it does show the monthly payment

Right on. Thanks crpeters82. I actually found it by mistake. I normally do or like you did (web in on the pc), but I was at work today and not near a pc at the time so I did it this way. And then I was like WTH?!

Anyway I can do that with Best Buy orders in the future as well.

tried that.. didn't show for me but some very old orders from last year I believe. I ordered in store which is only for store pickup. maybe that's why

Same here. Preordered early morning on the 24th, but there was a small hiccup trying to process my payment because it looked like I might have had a fraudulent charge, and it cancelled my payment info, and then I was able to update it to keep my order, but no movement on my BB status on the page. Also no shipping info through the FedEx app because im having it sent to my office so I can make sure someone signs for it.
